Enjoy!

Yaren always came home from school hungry. Since her mother was working, she always put something in the refrigerator for her to eat. Today, Yaren wanted to eat bitter turunç jam. Before the earthquake, she would pick turunç fruits from the turunç tree in their garden and her mother would make jam. She didn't know how it was done at all. She got impatient and called her mother and asked her to tell her how to make orange jam.
Her mother told she. First, we gently peel the outer skins of a kilogram of citrus with a grater. Then we string the shells that we cut into slices into rolls. We put it in water and add new water by pouring the water in the morning and evening for three days. On the third day, we pour out the water, add one and a half kilos of sugar and let it sit in the sugar for a day. Finally, we boil it in its own juice until it becomes jam, without adding any water.

Yaren realized that it was not possible to make citrus jam right now and hung up the phone. While eating, she decided to eat the fruit salad prepared by her mother and wondered if my friends were as hungry when they came home as I was. What do they like to eat? There were children from many different countries in their classes. Istanbul was a very big city and was nothing like Hatay. The next day at school, he asked his friends what they liked about the place they lived and decided to write down the recipes in a notebook. Who knows what a colorful table it will be, a table prepared with foods from all over the world.

Her classmate, Gülce, was born in Gaziantep, Turkey. They started living in Istanbul a few years ago.
Gülce said that the food she likes to eat the most is Antep baklava.
Pistachio baklava was made by rolling out the prepared dough meringue thinly and turning it into a phyllo, then placing melted butter and pistachios between the phyllo dough. After the baklava was baked in the oven, when hot sherbet was poured on it, that wonderful taste was ready to be eaten.
Yaren wrote down what Gülce told her in her notebook.
