Introduction

HABITATS

My habitat is usually in a large bamboo forest among mountain ranges in China.

Most people might think that they live ANYWHERE with bamboo, but thats not true. 

They live in bamboo FORESTS.

The weather is usually cloudy and misty, because it rains a lot there.

food and diet

Giant pandas are omnivores, so they eat more than bamboo. That might be surprising! They are known to eat bamboo, bulbs, grasses, some insects, and fruit!

Do you know how many lbs they eat a day?

Physical Features

In your opinion, You might say that Giant Pandas look just like regular bears. But that's not true. Their black and white fur makes them different. They are mostly white, with black arms, legs, ears, nose, lower body, and black spots around their eyes and mouths.

This is their fur pattern.

Life cycle

This is the life cycle of a Giant Panda.

50-60 days: Eyes open!

10 weeks: Learn to crawl! Cute, Right?

14 weeks: Teeth start to appear and Mom and Cub start to spend less time at den. The little baby is growing up!

21 weeks: Walks pretty well.

The Giant Panda species gives a single birth every 2 years. That means they might go extinct if humans do not do something to help!

The life cycle of a Giant Panda is pretty cool, despite the fact that they only give a SINGLE birth EVERY 2 YEARS!
