Aristotle was born in 384 BC. 383 B.C. During the first year of the XCIX Olympiad,1011121314 in the city of Stagira, modern Stavros (which is why he was nicknamed the Stagirite),6 not far from present-day Mount Athos, in the Halkidiki peninsula, then belonging to the Kingdom of Macedonia (present-day Macedonia region of Greece).15 His father, Nicomachus, belonged to the corporation of the Asclepiades, that is, he professed medicine, and was physician to King Amyntas III of Macedon.

Birth and Education:
Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. in Stagira, Greece, where he received his education at Plato's Academy, demonstrating exceptional intellectual prowess from a young age, distinguishing himself as an outstanding student.

Tutoring Alexander:
In 343 B.C., Aristotle became the tutor of Alexander the Great, a position that allowed him to influence the education and development of the future conqueror, sharing his vast knowledge in philosophy, ethics, and politics.


Founding of the Lyceum:
After Plato's death, Aristotle founded the
Lyceum in Athens, an institution that became an important center for teaching and philosophical debate, where the thinker developed his ideas and theories for years.

Philosophical Contributions:
Throughout his life, Aristotle produced a wide range of writings addressing topics ranging from metaphysics to politics, laying the foundations of Western philosophy and exerting a lasting influence on human thought.


Scientific Investigations:
In addition to his philosophical achievements, Aristotle conducted pioneering research in biology, zoology, and physics, using an empirical approach to understand the natural world and laying the groundwork for the modern scientific method.

Controversial Links with Athens:
Following Alexander's death in 323 B.C., Aristotle faced distrust and hostility in Athens due to his connections with Macedonia, prompting him to leave the city to avoid potential reprisals.


Death and Legacy:
Aristotle died in 322 B.C. in Chalcis, Euboea, but his legacy endured through the centuries, influencing philosophy, science, and politics to the present day, leaving an indelible mark on the history of human thought.
