Liz was in 6th grade now, she had no time to mess around! There was homework every single night, work that is 60% of your grade! It’s so much! But when the school announced that they were bringing school clubs to the school Liz’s heart leapt! She could do a club! She loved to read and so many other things! She knew she was right for this. She told her friend, Cathy, and Cathy told her that they could do a club together! Liz agreed. Everything would be fine. Maybe she could even make a new friend out of it.

Texting Liz

The Possibilities are endless!
Maybe there will even be a stuffed animal club!
When it was time for school on Monday Liz could hardly contain her excitement! But when she got to school and looked at the Choices she couldn’t see anything that screamed her. Unlike her friend, she found something right away. The chess club. “Eww!” Liz thought. “What, you don’t want to do the chess club?” Not my thing, I guess.” “Ok, well maybe there will be something else you can do. Well, have to get to class. Bye.”

But Liz couldn’t forget about not finding a club. She needed to get in a club whether she liked it or not. So as soon as the bell rang she went to put up her name on the club broad. She needed to put her name on the board or else she would be the only one who didn’t sine up.

Liz was in the middle of singing up when Cathy walked over, “Hay, guess you changed your mind about not joining the chess club. I thought it wasn’t your thing?” “Well I just realized if I don’t sine up for a club then everyone will think I’m wired.” “Liz, you know you don’t have to sine up for some stupid club for popularity. If there is no clubs you like then just don’t sine up.” “No, I figured it all out but thanks Cathy.” “Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” And Cathy walked away as Liz signed up for swim club.

The next day it was time for swim club. “So how does this work, exactly?” Liz asked to a girl standing beside her, she recognized her from Spanish class. “You just gotta jump off of the diving bored.” “Where’s the exit?” “Why? Did you change your mind?” “No, it’s just that I don’t know how to swim.” And she left. “Next up is art club.” Said Liz heading for the art room. “What can go wrong?”

When she made it to the art room people where are wearing clothes that they didn’t care about, she wondered why, they were just going to be coloring, right? Wrong! “ what are you doing?” Liz asked a kid going into the storage closet, “I’m getting the pottery Machine, you should know that if you’re doing art club.” Liz knew art club was not her thing. “Okay.. neither art nor swim club. But, that’s okay! Off to video club!”

When Liz got to the news crew room, she saw people already in the room filming the news for tomorrow, wait, no! It was live! “Oh come on!!” Some kid said. “This was our 100th shot. You there. If you wanna be in news crew club you gotta be NOT LATE!!! So beat it!” And Liz did. “This next one will be it, I know it. It has to be. This is the last one. Off to chess club, I guess.”
