It was just a normal day of playing and learning in Mrs.Tabaka’s second grade class, the class was reading their books. Everyone was sitting and being quiet but Thomas. He had ADHD and he had trouble paying attention in class and the other kids laughed at him and avoided him. Thomas didn’t pay attention to them though, to him they were just bullies.

Can you please stop fidgeting Thomas?

Thomas didn’t respond and just whined. All he could think about was when they would be done reading and go outside.
“When are we going outside?" “ I don’t want to read anymore.” Thomas said as he flipped through the pages of the boring, plain book.
“We will go outside soon, now read your book,” Mrs.Tabaka assured him.

When are we going outside? I don't want to read anymore!
We will go outside soon, now read your book.
Eventually the kids raced outside including Thomas. When they got on the playground, Thomas could smell the fresh smell of the towering green trees. He always loved nature, he chased butterflies and dug up bugs. Thomas decided to get out of his comfort zone and tried to play tag with the other kids.
“Can I play tag with you guys?”
“No, we would never play with you!” The rude kids shouted back.
Thomas’s heart shattered into a million pieces. Why would they say that to him he thought as he ran towards the door crying.

Can I play tag with you guys?
No, we would never play with you!
“Are you okay?” Lucy asked.
“I'm fine!” “Now leave me alone,” Thomas shouted.
“No you’re not, talk to me.”
“Fine, those kids won’t let me play tag with them.”
“Well they just are rude and annoying!” “We can go on the monkey bars if you want?” Lucy continued.
“Okay.” Lucy dragged Thomas to the monkey bars, they ended up having the best time and they never wanted to go inside.
“TIME TO GO INSIDE!” The teachers yelled out.
“Noooooooo.” They both shouted sadly.

Do you want to be friends?
Of course!

They both dreadfully walked inside as they split ways to their lunch tables. Lucy went to her third grade class, and Thomas went to his second grade class. When Thomas was eating he could taste the buttery flavor of the cheese bread as it melted on his tongue.
