A bit about me.
Hi! I'm Jordan. My favorite color is Green! My favorite subject is Social Studies. I don't have a favorite team, or a favorite movie. My favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs. :) This year, I got better at working on my school assignments.
Five words describe me: funny, timid, real, open, and friendly. My best hobby is drawing. I don't do it as much as I used to, but I enjoy a quick sketch or two.
A bit about my classroom
My "classroom" is an open room with a TV and a few couches. My desk sits right next to my favorite spot, ANOTHER chair!
What happens on a regular day? My day starts with Morning Manna at 9:30 to 9:45. I try to get to Bible, but it's hard because I have to backtrack to my mail, where the computer tries to lag on me. It's always annoying. We practice language arts and read, and then have a lunch break. During the afternoon, we do some math. At the end of class, we have prayer and leave to submit the homework.
What A Class!
Our class consists of 9 students. 5 boys, 4 girls. Fun fact: Everyone in the class has my hair color... which means everyone can say that too... Quite funny! Our class IS a funny bunch. (i will regret that later in the book.) One of my favorite school moments was when we had a lunch break with the class, which felt like a good bonding moment. Something I will never forget is when we finish our classes.
One of the funniest moments of the year was when they tried to "cats and minions"... I don't know WHAT happened, but they were so devoted to it, that they wanted to kick me out of the breakout room because they thought I was a cat supporter. What's wrong with cats? I'm starting to feel that the "funny bunch" thing is getting out of hand.
I read a whopping total of... drumroll please... THREE school books this year. I know that's not a lot, but they were amazing! Here is... The Jordan Endorsed Book Opinion List! (XD) Chico of the Andes, by Christine Von Hagen. Number 2 is Marjorie by Sidney Baldwin, and The Clockmaker's Son, by Jenny Philips. Let me explain my favorite of the three. Chico of the Andes is a book about a 10-year-old boy named Chico, who was taken in by a loving stranger who found him as a baby in the cold. Chico finds out and wants to find info about his grandfather. Little do they both know that the person who took him in was his real grandfather all that time.
I loved Chico of the Andes, and it's pretty underrated in the class. I don't know why they didn't like it as much, but I won't worry about it. My favorite spot in my home to read is my living room.
Specials were pretty straightforward. We only ever had 2 real ones. Crafting and French! They were pretty fun to do, and you got cool ones like a paper kaleidoscope that folded in on itself and made a new shape and pattern. In French, we learned basic parts of the language, but it's my favorite because most of my family speaks French. (lol 😅)
In science, we learned marine biology and the ocean's secrets. In social studies, we learned about ancient Egypt and its system.
