Once upon a time, there was a princess but this princess was not normal at all! Because she was… a cinder block. This princess lived in a castle… MADE OUT OF CINDER BLOCKS! Cinder block had a step-father and 1 step-brother. The step-brother was jealous of Cinder block, for she was very beautiful. His spirits made him almost ugly.

Cinder blocks step-father and step-brother treated her unfairly while they wore fancy clothes, slept in comfy beds and spent the day eating candy. Cinder block had to wear rags, sleep on a hard mattress, in a drafty tower and spend her days cleaning the mansion, washing clothes and scrubbing the floors. Cinder block was sick of it and said to herself: When will this end?! Even so Cinder block remained gentle and good hearted. Her sweet spirit made her more beautiful everyday.

When will this end!?

One morning, an invitation arrived. That night there was a ball at the Queens palace. What shall I wear? Asked the step-brother, looking at the clothes in the closet. What should I do with my hair, he asked. I'll fix your hair offered Cinder block. Be glad you're not going to the ball, said her step-brother meanly. Everyone there would only laugh at you! Cinder block blinked back a tear. Once her step-father and step-brother were gone Cinder block began to weep.

Suddenly, her Fairy Godfather appeared at her side. "There, There" he said. "Do you wish to go to the ball child?" Cinder block nodded. "Then to the ball you shall go!" Said The Fairy Godfather. "First I need a giant apple." Said the Fairy God Father, looking around. When he found one he placed it in the middle of the road in front of the mansion. Then he tapped the apple with his magical trident and in a flash the apple turned into a blue wagon.
