Emma woke up from a long sleep to a new season, not knowing what would come. However, knowing that school was out and all she saw was the sun, she knew the next three months would be fun.
There was no better feeling than knowing there was no school and the weather was nice.

Yay, Summer Break!
After her morning routine, Emma immediately went outside, feeling the soft and warm breeze and the sunlight hitting her tan skin.

The next thing she heard made her day even better. It was an ice cream truck.

Ice cream!

Emma's expression went from happy to cheerful; Emma ran to her mother and asked her for money for her and her sister.

Hey mom, could me and megan have some money for ice cream?

As she and her sister got the money, they ran outside to return to the ice cream truck before it left.

The man in the ice cream truck looks down at Emma and her sister. “Hey girls, what would you like?” the man said

“Hey girls, what would you like?”

“Strawberry Short Cake, please,” Emma said happily. “And one vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, please,” Her sister said

“Strawberry Short Cake, please,”
“And one vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, please,”

“Of course! That would be 8 dollars.” Megan gave the money to the man. “Thank you.” the man replied

“Of course! That would be 8 dollars.”
Megan gave the money
“Thank you.”

Once the man was done, Emma and her sister started to eat their ice cream while playing with their toys.

“Your aunt just called me. She said she's going to the beach and can take you, girls, you wanna go?” Their mom said while grabbing the keys, “Yes!” they replied without hesitation

“Your aunt just called me. She said she's going to the beach and can take you, girls, you wanna go?”
Yes!
As Emma and her sister started excitingly packing for the beach, their mom was helping carry their things to the car.

Making their way up to their aunt's house, the radio played the songs that are now nostalgic for emma as she didn’t know she would live those moments too fast.

Once Emma and her sister made it to their aunts, they immediately got on the road to the beach.

Once they all got to the hotel and unpacked, they decided to go to the beach first. Emma was so happy and excited because she loved the beach.

Emma and her sister were playing in the water and having fun as the waves hit by

“Here comes another!” Emma warns her sister, “Ah!” they both laugh as they fall together

“Here comes another!”
Ah!
As the day started to end, they decided to go out and eat, but Emma felt like it was late, and she was tired and felt she had done enough, and times like this would always come by.

There'll be other times...
Her aunt thought otherwise and decided to let her stay in the hotel, Emma thought of nothing else, and soon fell asleep.

THE NEXT DAY
Emma then woke up and saw her aunt calling someone; she met up with Emma's cousins and wanted to go, but her sister was tired and didn’t want her alone.

Up to you...
As the day went by, her aunt finally returned after what felt like hours. “you should’ve came,” she said happily; Emma gave her a confused look. “why?”

“why?”

“you should’ve came,”

'We went to the carnival, shopping, and the indoor waterpark" her aunt said ; once Emma heard this, she immediately regretted her decision.

'We went to the carnival, shopping, and the indoor waterpark"

“Oh…well, that's okay there next time, I guess,” emma replied nonchalantly, showing that it didn’t affect her, but on the inside, it did.

“Oh…well, that's okay there next time, I guess,”
THE NEXT MONTH
A couple of weeks passed after the trip, and Emma, for most of the time, went on her phone

Even though it didn’t sound like the best use of time in the summer, she always loved the culture and trends that were going on
Such as the dances, skits, clothing, humor, and the music. Most of social media at the time was fun and free

You could express yourself any way you wanted; that's another thing that Emma loved about that time.

Emma sometimes also played games with her sister when they were home alone.

Emma thought that this was all she needed to have a great summer

As time passed, emma slowly realized that her summer break was almost over, over time she had gone to a waterpark park, a concert, and other fun events
But through those moments, she felt like she hadn’t lived in the moment as she overthought how things were gonna end out

But there was a reason for it…
