There was a dog on the beach. He was big and fluffy and all by himself.

The dog wandered around on the beach until he heard barking. He followed the sound.

He came across a little girl named Scarlet and her pug, Louie, playing together.

He wanted to play too, so he went over to them.

Scarlet was happy to let the big fluffy dog join in their game. She had the dogs go down the beach and she threw the ball to them.

They spent the whole day playing together, until the sun started to go down.

Scarlet picked up the ball and told Louie it was time to go. She looked around and wondered if the big fluffy dog had a home. He had been with her all day, and no one had come looking for him. Maybe he could go home with her and be her new dog.

Scarlet told the big fluffy dog to come with them. He wagged his tail and followed her and Louie back to her parents.

Her parents, Elenor and Michael, were happy to see them. They noticed that she had brought another dog with her. "Where did that dog come from?" Elenor asked.

"He was all alone on the beach, and no one has come to find him all day. Can he come home with us?" asked Scarlet.

Her parents looked at each other, then looked around the beach. They didn't see anyone else there. They didn't feel good about leaving the big fluffy dog alone. "I think it's a good idea for him to come home with us." Michael said.

They packed up all of their stuff and got in their car. Then they drove home with the big fluffy dog.

Once they got home, Scarlet showed the big fluffy dog their yard. When they were done, they went inside.

Scarlet helped her mom make dinner while her dad set the table.
