Sandra and Pearl were friends from the time they were very young. They spent a lot of time together and seemed to never get bored of each other.

They met through the hobby they shared, cheerleading. They did not go to the same school.

Even though they were always in different schools, they always stayed close, since they always cheered together.

Their cheer friend group had many girls who had been cheering together for years. Even though there was a whole group, Sandra and Pearl were always specifically close.

As they got older, they met more and more people from school. Even though there was something separating them, Sandra and Pearl stayed close anyway.

They would introduce each other to the people they met and would often hang out with each other's school friends.

Sandra and Pearl rarely fought. Of course they did occasionally, as all friends do, but they were usually small and over nothing important.

Sandra was older than Pearl, so she was in high school first.

The year that Pearl moved up to high school was the beginning of a new level of their friendship. They would constantly find each other in school, and they finally knew all of the same people.

They were closer than they ever had been, which neither of them would have ever thought possible. It really was the greatest year.

Pearl had always looked up to Sandra. But eventually, she started to feel less than Sandra, like she wasn't good enough for her. Sandra was always more popular, she always knew more people, and she always said what she thought.

Sandra loved Pearl so much, but Pearl couldn't always see that. Pearl started to feel like Sandra didn't care about her at all. Of course, this wasn't the truth, but Pearl believed it.

Although Pearl started to feel this way, her love for Sandra never faltered. Their friendship stayed strong.

Around this time, some way through Pearl's first year of highschool, Sandra made a new friend, his name was Dawson.

Dawson quickly took over most of Sandra's time, and she never even realized how she distanced herself from Pearl. It wasn't her intention, but she was just totally wrapped up in Dawson.

Sandra tried hard to have Pearl and Dawson get along, but Pearl didn't like Dawson and Sandra's friendship. She just didn't think that Dawson was being good to Sandra.
Pearl knew that Sandra couldn't see it, but she tried very hard to help her friend out of the situation she was in with Dawson. Eventually Sandra began to see Pearl's concern, but she still couldn't end her friendship with Dawson.

Dawson, however, had a big issue with Pearl. He must have felt intimidated by her. Pearl never quite knew what she did wrong, though.

Pearl had nothing but good intentions in her heart; she just wanted to help her friend.

But as Dawson's hatred for Pearl grew, Sandra didn't know what to do. Sandra loved Pearl so much, but she was blinded by Dawson and couldn't imagine losing him.

So, as time went on, and Dawson and Pearl couldn't be together, Sandra started to spend all of her time with Dawson. Sandra would hang out with Dawson instead of Pearl, and she would spend her time with him in school instead of her. Pearl hated this but she didn't know what to do.
