My name is Julia Milliron and I am going to tell you a story about my friend Cordi.

He and I were friends for long time. He had long dreads We hung out all the time.

One day we were at the park and found an adorable stuffed bunnie. 

She was white and tan and had the biggest feet you had even seen. We named her Bean. She was just the cutest thing.

Cordi and I decided we were going to share the stuffed bunny. 

At first it was great.

We talked about who would have the bunny and for how long. Sometimes the bunnie was at Cordi's house and sometimes she was at my house. Everything was fine for about a month

But then I noticed Cordi was sharing Bean with his other friends. He did not tell me where Bean was. It made me sad.

I didn’t know how to tell Cordi how sad I was. I thought I would never see Bean again.

 I didn’t know where she was, or what she was doing. I was worried she wasn’t safe and that she missed me to.

I realized that sharing Bean wouldn’t work. Bean was too special to hang out with Cordi. Cordi obviously didn’t respect Bean. 

I was afraid to tell Cordi that I didn’t want to share Bean with him any more. I didn’t know how he would react or if he would get angry. It took me a few days, but finally I was ready.

I saw Cordi at the park on day after school, and decided to finally talk to him.

"I don't want you having custody over bean anymore"

"Why not?"

 “You aren’t respecting Bean enough. You aren't reliable enough to take care of Bean."

 "Bean needs to be respected and with people who love her and you, Cordi, are just not that person.”

Cordi said he understood. He could see how leaving Bean with strangers was not taking good care of Bean. 

He brought Bean over to me and I took her home, and nursed her back to health on my own, not needing Cordi’s help.

 Now I can focus on Bean and eventually share her with someone else one day.
