Waking up was a great feeling. I lept out of bed, excited for the day ahead. Some friends and I were going to Six Flags Great Adventure!

I opened the closet and snagged my favorite shirt. I threw on some nice shorts as well. I also found some goofy socks and wore them with my new shoes.

BEEP! BEEP! Will's car had arrived.

I sprinted outside and hopped in. "What's up, Kyle," said Matt and Will. "Not much, I'm just excited for today," I replied.

"We are, too! Especially for the huge roller coaster they have," said Matt. "What huge coaster? I bet it's nothing," I said.

"Uh, it's 456 feet tall," Will said, smiling. The moment I heard the extreme height of the coaster, my stomach sank.

"Oh! I forgot to add that it goes 128 mph," Will added. Now, I was even more worried about riding this roller coaster. I was nervous about the other ones already, so this added stress.

I have never been a big roller coaster guy, so this worried me. Things can change, though.

The car ride felt like a whole day, but it was only two hours. To waste time, we played some games on our phones.

On the phone, I beat Will twice in mini-golf, but Matt beat me in the last game.

I still couldn’t get the thought of the roller coaster out of my head.

How would I be brave enough to ride a 456-foot, 128-mph roller coaster?
Finally, we arrived at the amusement park. We paid for our tickets and made our way through the park.

We walked over to the first roller coaster called Nitro. It was only half the size of the 456-foot roller coaster.

“If this is only half, I can’t imagine what the other coaster looks like,” I told Matt and Will.

“You’re gonna like it, I promise,” Will replied. “I hope you are right,” I said nervously.

We hopped in Nitro’s carts and got strapped in. “Here we go,” Matt said excitedly.
The climb was long, and we were at the peak eventually. “You won’t have to deal with the climb on the other one,” Matt said at the peak.
Before I could respond, we were traveling so fast downwards.
The coaster yanked us up another hill and another. I started to feel a little queasy.
Right as we hit a sharp turn, my eyes went black. I could see again when we slowed down to get off the ride.
“Oh my goodness,” I said, frightened and confused. “What is it,” Matt and Will said. “I think I blacked out,” I replied.

They could sense the fear in my voice when I said that. “Well, you better recover on the walk over to the huge coaster,” Will said.
I was the most worried I had been all day, even more than the car ride.
After the first coaster, I would have thought I would have been relieved of getting the first one out of the way. Boy, was I wrong.
