I'm ready to find my wings!!!

Once upon a time, there lived a young sweet girl named Andy. She lived in a small known a Florista. 

In Florista, it was custom for all of the fairies who lived there to go out on a quest on their 8th birthday in search of their wings. 

Andy's birthday was TODAY! She was fully prepared to get sent off on her new and fun quest for wings!

Hmm, those mushrooms look safe!

Andy bid her town of Florista farewell, and sent off on her enchanted adventure!

Andy had no clue where to start or where to go. She started to worry that maybe she wasn't old enough to be on her own. 

She began to notice a pattern of mushrooms and decided to follow them. She figured she could always use them to find her way back to the village!

HEY! SLOW DOWN!

Quickly, Andy found herself sludging through a thick dark swamp.

Luckily she could see all of the mushrooms as she walked. They glowed with a light that made them hard to ignore. 

After several minutes of walking through the nasty swamp mud, Andy her someone yell behind her. She was suddenly very frightened and had no idea what to do!

They yelled again "HEY! SLOW DOWN!"

Hi! I'm Tilly!

Suddenly, the person who yelled appeared right behind Andy! Timidly, she turned around to look at the person who yelled.

When she turned around, she saw this beautiful young girl who was a fairy just like her! Andy began to feel less afraid.

"Hi! I'm Tilly! I noticed you were traveling this scary path and I couldn't let you go alone. What is your name?" asked the new fairy.

"M-my name is Andy." She stuttered.

"Hi Andy! I would love to help you out with whatever you are doing, if that's okay!" Tilly exclaimed.

"Sure...but why are you here? I'm on my quest for wings, but you already have yours." Andy asked skeptically.

"I was gathering fruits, nuts, and leaves for my grandmother's collection. I turned 9 a couple days ago so I have already finished my quest! I can show you exactly what to do!" Tilly replied.

So Andy and Tilly set off on their quest together. Continuing to follow the mushrooms, hoping they would bring them to the right place.

Andy began to feel watched as they continued on their path. She wasn't sure why or what was watching them, but she had a sneaky feeling that something bad was about to happen.

"We're almost there!" Tilly proclaimed.

"We made it! This is the garden where the magical potion is kept! One sip from it and you should receive your wings!" Tilly told Andy.

"I'm not so sure about this. What are all of those rats doing around the garden... isn't that odd?" Andy questioned.

"Hmm, I guess that is a bit strange. They weren't there when I got my wings." Tilly replied.

Andy moved closer to the garden in hopes that she could grab the potion. However, the rats had blocked off any access to the garden.

"Tilly...this doesn't seem right. What do we do?" Andy asked.

"Uh, I'm not s-sure. Let me fly around and see of there an answer nearby." Tilly said as she fluttered her wings and lifted off into the sky.

"HA! HA! HA! I finally have you alone and where I want you. I am the evil mushroom king sent to destroy all fairies!" A loud, deep voice proclaimed.

"B-but please! I need my wings!" Andy cried.

"Years ago, the fairies used their wings to fly to my swamp and destroy every mushroom they saw in sight! I vowed that day to destroy every fairy I saw in return!" The Mushroom King explained.

"Mr. King, I promise you that the fairies have changed their ways! We care for each other and the nature around us!" Andy said.

"You don't understand! They took everything from us mushrooms. I have been building an army mushrooms for years so that I could finally get revenge for my kind. Today is the day!" The Mushroom King decided.

Andy wasn't sure what else she could do. He was determined and she had no powers and no wings.
