There once was a dog named Roo.  He lived a pretty hard life.  One day Roo found himself at a rescue shelter and was looking to become a foster dog. 

People often thought Roo was mean and scary, so nobody wanted him.  But the truth is, he was scared too.  

One day, Alexis came to the shelter and asked about fostering Roo.  She had fostered before and had two dogs of her own that she had adopted, but she was willing to take a chance on Roo too.  

People warned her about taking in a dog like Roo.  But Alexis knew that with a lot of love and the right people around him, he would be a good pet too.  She was able to meet Roo and take him home. 

Roo was brought to his new home. He was still scared and knew he had a lot to work on, but he was ready for his new adventure.  

One day, Alexis noticed that one of her dogs did not get along with Roo.  She knew she couldn't be his forever home.  She didn't want to give up though.
