Once upon a time, in a cozy little town by the shimmering blue sea, lived a cheerful little girl named Ellie and her mom, Mrs. Puddlewhisk
Every Saturday morning, Ellie and her mom would go on their most favorite adventure—fishing! They would pack up their trusty fishing rods, a basket full of snacks, and a giant umbrella (just in case they needed shade or to hide from seagulls with a craving for chips).

One sunny Saturday, Ellie and Mrs. Puddlewhisk set off to their favorite fishing spot: Sandy Shores. The sky was clear, the birds were singing, and the sea was sparkling like a giant blue jellybean. Ellie had her lucky fishing hat on, which had floppy ears like a bunny’s. Mrs. Puddlewhisk wore her old fishing hat with a feather sticking out—just the right touch of fancy for a day of fishing.

They set up their fishing gear and cast their lines into the water. Ellie was feeling especially lucky, since she had a secret fishing dance that she always did before the first cast. She twirled around, flapped her arms, and sang, “Fishy, fishy, in the sea, come and nibble, come to me!”
Just as Ellie finished her dance and was about to reel in her line, something strange happened. The sea started to bubble and gurgle. Mrs. Puddlewhisk’s feathered hat wobbled like it was doing a little dance of its own. Ellie and her mom looked at each other with wide eyes.

Suddenly, with a great whoosh and a splash, a gigantic wave rolled in like a sea giant yawning in its sleep. Ellie’s eyes widened to the size of saucers. “Oh no!” she yelled. “That wave looks like it’s been eating too many jellybeans!”

The wave was so big, it looked like it was wearing a frothy, white hat and had a playful grin. It surged forward, and before Ellie could even say, “Uh-oh!” the wave gave a cheeky shove and—splash!—Ellie was gently whooshed into the water. The wave bobbed away with a satisfied gurgle, as if it had just tickled its favorite sea friend.
Ellie found herself floating in the water with a big, goofy grin. “Well, this is a new way to fish!” she chuckled, as she bobbed up and down like a happy cork.
