My trip experience
I'm very happy to share my travel experience with you. I hope you enjoy my story and have a good reading time. It’s a pleasure to engage in this activity and share my best moments.
Let´s start
This is the story of my trip. I chose this one especially because, although the places are beautiful, the company is always the best.
And my travel companion on this occasion was my cousin Maria Colocho.

Foods:
DECEMBER 2023

The trip was for a week. My cousin was coming to El Salvador for the first time after 20 years and was very eager to explore some interesting places in our little corner of the Americas. She arrived on December 20th of last year. We had had very stressful days at work, and she decided to spend a few days at the Sevilla Hotel in Usulután. She invited me to join her for a couple of days before we started our adventure. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay with her because I was still working at that time; my vacation started on December 23rd.
DECEMBER 23rd
Our trip began on December 23rd. We had been looking forward to this time together for so long. We have been like sisters forever despite the distance.
We first went to Morazán because we have family there, and she wanted to visit them first. We visited the Monument to Peace and Reconciliation and learned a bit about the history of the place.

December 23rd
With great respect, we viewed the Monument to the victims of the El Mozote massacre during the armed conflict, where more than a thousand people died during a military operation.

December 23rd
We visited the Perquín forest, where we had the opportunity to see a beautiful sunset and appreciate nature. Personally, I’ve always felt that nature helps alleviate some of our stress and that during difficult times, it's important to take some time to enjoy it.

December 24th

On December 24th, we left very early for San Salvador. In Apopa, our uncles were waiting for us with a delicious chicken soup. Then, we went to buy some fireworks to celebrate Christmas Eve. It was a special moment when the clock struck midnight, and we celebrated as a family despite the long time without seeing each other.

December 25th
On December 25th, we went to La Libertad. We stopped by Sunset Park and had lunch there. The last time I visited, there wasn’t much tourist attraction besides the beach and the port, but now everything is much nicer compared to the past. My cousin was very excited because she always wanted to try Salvadoran food, and I’m sure she enjoyed it a lot.
