    Jorie sat quietly on the floor playing with her dolls. It was past her bedtime, but Jorie was having so much fun! She was just about to put the baby in the bathtub when her mother called her name, “Jorie time for bed. Let’s find a snack,” her mom called. Jorie sighed and put down her dolls.

She had almost reached the kitchen when a colorful object caught her eye. 

Jorie loved the candy jar and begged her mom for just one piece, but her mom said, “No!”

THE CANDY JAR!!!

This made Jorie VERY upset!

She stomped down the hallway and sat on her bed. She wished she could have candy whenever she wanted. She stared out the window and watched as it started to rain.

Then she had a great idea!

What if it rained CANDY!!!!!

Then she could have as much candy as she wanted right outside her house. That night when Jorie prayed she asked God to make it rain candy.

The next morning, Jorie woke up to a loud banging noise on her roof. Bang! Bang! Bang! She looked out the window, and candy was falling from the sky. IT WAS RAINING CANDY! God had answered her prayer. She was so excited she ran outside without getting dressed or eating breakfast. She even forgot to put on her shoes. 

When she stepped outside something hard hit her head. Then again and again. The candy was raining hard, and it hurt. So Jorie went back inside to get an umbrella.
