To my dear friend and her wonderful family,
Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and making me feel right at home. Your warmth and kindness have a special place in my heart. I’m grateful for all the memories we’ve shared and for loving me as one of you. Let’s creat more adventures together!

It was a cloudy day in Pamplona. Liseth and Gabriela were going out to a café, as they did every time Gabriela came to the city on vacation. After a chat at Gabriela’s house, they decided to go eat at Gorillas. They left the house, and in about 8 minutes, they were at the place. They scanned the area with their eyes to find a table and sat down. They ordered drinks, which consisted of beer, mango popping bubbles, and mango chunks in a clay pot that had Tajín on its rim. They also ordered burritos, thanked the waiter, and began their conversation. It was a conversation tinged with sadness—why? Gabriela had to return to Bogotá to continue her studies.
After about two hours, they finished their meal. There was even a brief moment when they cried over Gabriela’s departure. They knew they would see each other again, but their connection and friendship were so strong that they couldn't help but get emotional.
When Gabriela’s father picked them up in the car, they suggested that Liseth should go with them since she had never been to Bogotá. Liseth thought about it, and after planning and asking her parents for permission—who gave a positive response—she went home and packed her suitcase.
The next day, they set off on the trip. The journey was long and a bit tiring but beautiful. They arrived around
11 p.m., and Liseth was captivated by the city's nighttime welcome. They arrived at the appartment and went to sleep to have energy for the next day. On the first day, they set out to explore the city. They visited Plaza de Bolívar, took plenty of photos, and Gabriela and her family shared many interesting facts about the place. As they walked around, they even saw a llama and an alpaca. The day was quite sunny but also cold, yet they enjoyed it to the fullest. They saw the house where the event known as "El Florero de Llorente" took place, a beautiful white house with blue details, located to the left of the church in Plaza de Bolívar.
As they walked around the area, Liseth bought some lovely souvenirs to take back to her family. That same evening, they went to dinner at a charming Italian restaurant. Liseth ordered ravioli, a dish she had been wanting to try for a while—filled with meat and topped with bolognese sauce, paired with a mint lemonade. While they waited for the food, Gabriela taught her how to make a type of dip to eat with bread. When Liseth tasted it, she thought it was so delicious. They took photos and chatted until the food arrived, and Liseth was excited to try ravioli for the first time.
As soon as she tasted it, there was an explosion of flavors in her mouth—it was so delicious. The textures and everything were the perfect combination, and she couldn’t have felt happier.
Next day at the Planetarium, where you can hear amazing talks, and features experiments, some of which you can participate in. You can see also information about all the planets.
One thing that caught Liseth's attention was a section that explained ancient beliefs about how the planet looked, with some showing a piece of land surrounded by water, while others depicted more land than water, and so on.
Since they arrived late, only one show was available, and from the rooftop viewpoint, they couldn't see the exhibits well, but they decided to attend the available show anyway. Liseth and the others tried a device that tells you your weight according to the gravity of each planet. Interestingly, it didn’t work for Gabriela's mom, which made a funny moment.
Later, they took a photo of Liseth in front of the Colpatria Tower, which has become an iconic symbol of the city. Not only is it known for its impressive construction, marking a landmark for both locals and visitors, but it has also hosted various events
over time, such as the traditional Noche de las Velitas and the legendary Carrera de Ascenso.
Liseth felt so happy to discover new places and try different things that she wished the trip would never finish. Unfortunately, it had to come to an end.
Those three days were filled with joy, and she felt so immersed in everything that time seemed to fly by. However, she loved every second and enjoyed it to the fullest.
Because, of course, she had been able to experience it alongside her best friend, adding to their collection of memories and special moments. Each shared experience deepened their bond, creating a tapestry of laughter, adventure, and discovery that they would cherish forever. Liseth felt grateful for the opportunity to explore a new city with someone who understood her so well, making every sight and sound feel even more vibrant. As they posed for the photo, they exchanged smiles and excitement, knowing that this trip would be a treasured chapter in their friendship.
As the sun began to set over Bogotá, Liseth took a moment to reflect on the incredible journey she had experienced. Surrounded by her dear friend Gabriela and her family, she felt a profound sense of gratitude for the memories they had created together.
Each laugh, every shared meal, and the beautiful sights they explored had woven a tapestry of joy that she would carry with her forever. The adventure had not only deepened their friendship but had also opened her eyes to the wonders of a new city.
