"3500! Can I get 4000?" the loud man yelled from a strange black box above me. 

A man raises his hand. "Sold to..." 

"Mr. Anderson," the man replied."

The drive home was so strange. There were so many new smells and sounds.

 I hope this master treats me well.

We halt to a stop. I prick my ears. Where are we? I find myself wondering. The door opens with a clang. I jump. Mr. Anderson slips my halter on. He drags me down the ramp. I jump at the sight of a moving object with wings. 

I look around after Mr. Anderson calms me. He says they are called chickens.There is a huge barn on the left. There are large pastures on the right. This place is much larger than my old home.

When we get to the barn he walks me to a stall. He unclips my halter. He walks out and locks the door. This is strange. I was never locked up in my old home.

After a couple of hours, Mr. Anderson dumps a bucket of carrots, apples, oats, and hay into my feed bucket."Eat up!" he said while patting my rump. I jump a little.

The rest of the night is strange. The dinner was good, I guess. A scurry of mice startles me too many times to count. I finally fall asleep after what seems like forever.

 Z Z Z Z Z ...

I wake with a start at the sound of a rooster crow. I kick my foot on the side of my stall. Ouch!

Mr. Anderson comes back after I eat my breakfast. He slips my halter on me . I had to do this in my old home so I know not to move. He attempts to lead me out the stall."Do I go?" I nicker at him. "Woah. Calm down girl." he mutters softly.

When he gets me to the pasture, there are other horses. A chocolate horse, a palomino, and a big shire.

"Howdy!" says the palomino."I am Chance." I don't respond at first.

"It's okay darling. My name is Honey." the chocolate horse replied to my silence. The black shire started over. "I am Raven."
