Hi! I'm going to talk about my birthday trip!!

My exciting vacation and my eleventh birthday celebration. Back when I was in fifth grade, for my eleventh birthday on August third, my dad surprised me with a vacation to “Isletas de Granada” . It was a very exciting day and birthday for me because usually, we only celebrate birthdays by cutting a cake and some gifts or celebrating it late, but that time was really different, amusing and significant celebration for me since it was like an adventure for me.

That day I didn’t go to classes, we started good because my mom would never let me not go to classes even if I were ill, on my birthday or else. I woke up last of all my family and the first sight I saw was my little sister, my mom and my dad around me singing a happy birthday song. I was so happy. Around 8 am when we were having breakfast, my dad announced some great news. First, they would get me a new kitty! I couldn’t stop smiling because I’ve always wanted a kitten to take care of and love. And then he told me to get my bag with my swimsuit and toys because we were going to the “Isletas de Granada”. My eyes went wide because I heard that the place was a nice destination to enjoy the views and enjoy the many activities we could do there.

When we arrived at the place, I saw it was like an island, many islands actually. After checking in my dad guided us to a boat, I felt a little scared because I had never been in one but he took my hand and gave me a reassuring squeeze. Once in the boat, I felt better but then… I felt nauseous. I almost threw up, that’s when my mom told me to touch the water so I did so, and I felt many little fishes. On the next island, I have seen many large sliders but this one were huge sliders surrounded by biodiversity and different ecosystems and a big, deep pool. I was a really good swimmer, so it was no problem for me.
My dad and mom told me that I had to be eaten first and rest for around 30 minutes to then go to the pool, so we ate fish. I didn’t like it too much and it disgusted me that my father ate the fish’s eyes. It was so gross. Impatiently, I rested 30 minutes and then, begged my dad to accompany me to the sliders. As I said before, they were huge.
