The next thing I knew, I was falling. At least, I think I was falling. All I could see was yellow and white. I tried to look around, but all I couldn't see beyond the yellow and white void. I wondered how long I would fall. The time passed by slowly. It seemed as if it would never end. I had lost all sense of time and space. I was just falling.

My body was filled with anxiety and fear. I had been pulled through that portal into... what? Would I ever get back to my family? What would happen to me now? I didn't know. I was nervous, scared, and alone. I thought of my family: my mom and my dad. I thought of my friends. They were such good friends. I wondered if I would ever see them again. I felt tears forming in my eyes.

Suddenly, everything grew brighter. I closed my eyes and prepared for the worst. For a few moments, everything was still. Then, I heard the sound of wind blowing through grass. I opened my eyes. I was lying on the grass. I stood up and surveyed my surroundings. I was in a forest. I didn't know where I was or what had just happened, but all I knew was that I wasn't at home.

I turned around, expecting the yellow portal to be there. It wasn't. I sat down, staring at where the portal should be if it appeared. I waited patiently for the portal to reappear, but it never did. Panic filled my mind. I was stuck in a forest, far from home, with no way back. I snuck around, looking for any signs of life. I found none.

Not knowing what else to do, I wandered through the forest, searching for other people, another village, or other signs of life. After a few minutes, as I was reaching down to look at a flower, I heard a thunk! I whirled around and came face to face with a skeleton. I had, of course, learned about these mobs in my last year's Science class: Science of the Overworld.

While the skeleton drew its bow, I turned to run. As I was running, I felt a sharp pain in my back. The skeleton had hit me with an arrow. It was probably the most pain I had ever felt in my life. I knew if I got hit a few more times, I was dead. I continued running. Luckily, I was soon out of range. As soon as I couldn't see the skeleton anymore, I sat down to rest against the trunk of a tree.

My body relaxed as the pressure of anxiety slowly drained from my body. The pain in my back was still there. Suddenly, I felt another sharp pain. This time, however, it was in my stomach. I needed food. Panic filled my mind once more. This world, wherever I was, was not without its dangers. I would face more mobs, and even if I could evade them, I would not be able to run forever.

Even if I somehow were able to avoid the countless mobs out there, I could still starve to death. My top priority right now was to find some food. With it, I wouldn't starve to death, and I would be able to replenish my health. The skeleton hadn't done any fatal damage, but I couldn't take many more hits. Despite my constant panic, I continued walking through the forest in order to save energy.
