Lesson Objectives:

Students will be able to understand the importance of descriptive writing.

Students will be able to accurately and vividly describe the process of making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Students will actively engage in an activity that reinforces creativity and communication skills.

 Learners are third and fourth grade students with blended learning styles, i.e. visual, auditory, read/write, kinesthetic. I will be using the Assure Model to create my lesson plan. I decided to use this model because this model offers a detailed strategy on how to organize and develop lesson plans for students. It prioritizes the need for engaging students as well as knowing the pace and level of learning of the students. It consists of six concepts: analyzing learners, stating objectives, selecting media and materials, utilizing media and materials, requiring participation, evaluating and revising plan. The subject area for this plan is descriptive writing, and it is geared toward 3rd and 4th grade students.
