
There has been a lot of great tennis players over the years. However, the "big three" are considered the best 3 players in men's tennis ever, and they played at the same time. These three people have changed the whole sport of tennis in the world. Their stories do not seem real. Their names are Roger Federer from Switzerland, Rafael Nadal from Spain, and Novak Djokovic from Serbia.



Starting in 2003, the first player of the "big three", Roger Federer came onto the scene by winning his first grand slam tournament at Wimbledon. He was 21 years old at the time and will be a star on the tour for another 18 years.
Major Championship Titles
If we were to look over the past two decades, we would see the dominance that the big three had at the biggest tournaments in tennis. "Since Wimbledon 2003, the "Big Three" have won 66 out of 84 Grand Slam tournaments, with Djokovic winning 24, Nadal 22 and Federer 20 major titles" Richter (2024).




Happy On and Off the Court
These three guys have a lot in common. All of them are happy off the court, being married with kids. Roger Federer has been married for 15 years with 4 kids. Djokovic has been married for 10 years with 2 kids, while Nadal has been married for 5 years but with his wife for 19 years, with 1 child. They all acknowledge the fact that their success is with the help of their family.



Earnings
The big three have made a wealth playing tennis. Roger Federer making the most at around $1.1 billion dollars, which includes prize money, endorsements, and now with his investments. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have some work to do with both of them earning around $500 million. All three of them have earned over $100 million in prize money, with Djokovic earning the most at $159 million.
Sponsorships
With the big three being so popular and successful, they had a lot of big sponsorship opportunities. With Nike, Federer and Nadal both have created their own collection and logo on Nike clothes. For Federer, he moved on and signed a huge with Uniqlo that was a 10-year, $300 million dollars. Now, Federer is now an investor of On Running where he has grown the brand and has his own shoe. Since retiring, Federer has a lot with sponsors, including making a signature racket with Wilson.




Giving Back to the Community
These players used their platform to give back to the community by starting foundations. All of them have big foundations that do a lot for communities in need, as well as being ambassadors, including for Federer being a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Djokovic has been his fair share of donating of a lot of money when needed around the world, but his foundation does a lot of good work in his country of Serbia.
