Hi, My name is gumse, i love reading about space, but I am very shy, I hid in 5 places in the book to secretly read. Go and find me! (Bonus: Look at the page numbers (including this one) and add the digits together until you get a page number, and a chest with treasure inside will be on that page!
is for Asteroid
One of the many large rocks that orbit the sun. (e.g. Psyche, Dimorphos). Asteroids are rich in precious metals and other metals, as well as water.

is for Black Hole
A region in Space where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. (e.g. Ton618, sagittarius a).

is for Comet

Comets are large objects made of dust and ice that orbit the sun. best known for their long, streaming tails.

is for Dwarf Planet

A round mass of metal and rock or gas, moving around the Sun or another star, that is not large enough to be considered a planet. (e.g. Pluto, Eris)

is for Earth

The planet 3rd in order of distance from the Sun, between Venus and Mars; the world on which we live. earth is the only planet in the solar system where water can be present as 3 states- solid, liquid & gas.

is for Full Moon

The moon when it is shaped like a complete disc. A full moon occurs when the moon is on the opposite side of earth from the sun.

is for Galaxy

One of the independent groups of stars in the universe.
(e.g. Andromeda, Milky Way). scientists estimate that there are billions of solar systems in the milky way galaxy alone.

is for Haumea

An oval-shaped dwarf planet located beyond Neptune's orbit. its rotation is the fastest in the solar system.

is for Io

One of the Galilean moons of Jupiter, it is the 4th largest moon in the solar system. Io is the most volcanically active world in the solar system, with hundreds of volcanoes.

is for Jupiter

The planet 5th in order of distance from the Sun, after Mars and before Saturn. it is made primarily of gas, best known as a "gas giant".

is for Kuiper Belt

A donut-shaped region of icy objects beyond the orbit of Neptune.
the kuiper belt is one of the largest structures in our solar system and it is one of the places where comets come from.

is for Libra

A constellation in the southern sky lying between Scorpius and Virgo. In Latin, it means balance as in the scales.

is for Mercury

The planet closest in distance to the Sun. Mercury is the smallest planet, a year on mercury takes 88 earth days.

is for Neptune

The planet 8th in order of distance and farthest from the Sun, after Uranus. Neptune is a dark, cold and gas giant planet, there is no solid surface on neptune.

is for Orbit

The curved path through which objects in space move around a planet or star. Earth orbits the sun in 365.25 days.

is for Phobos

The innermost and larger of the two moons of Mars. it has an irregular shape. The word phobos relates to the word "phobia" meaning fear.

is for Quasar

The centre of a galaxy that is very far away, producing large amounts of energy.
quasars rely on supermassive black holes to generate enough power for them.

is for Rigel

A blue supergiant star in the constellation of Orion. Rigel has a mass-loss rate of 1.5 million times that of our sun.

is for Sun

The star that provides light and heat for the Earth and around which the Earth moves. the sun also generates ultraviolet light, X-rays, radio waves and gammarays.
