In a kingdom, there lived a brave and kind knight named Othello. He was strong, fair, and admired by everyone who knew him. The king trusted him with important duties, and the people looked up to him. But what made Othello truly special was his gentle heart.

Othello's best friend was a kind lady named Desdemona. Desdemona was caring and gentle, and she always tried to make others feel happy. Othello and Desdemona shared a special friendship; they laughed, talked, and helped each other.

Othello also had a friend named Cassio, who was a loyal and hardworking knight. Cassio was dedicated to his work, and Othello trusted him to help with important tasks around the kingdom. Cassio admired Othello and was already to lend a helping hand.

There was another knight named Iago, who also wanted to be Othello’s close friend. Iago was clever, but he sometimes felt left out when Othello trusted Cassio with important tasks. Instead of feeling happy for Cassio, Iago felt jealous and upset. “Why does Othello trust Cassio more than me?” he thought. Iago began to feel anger and he came up with a plan to make himself feel better.

Iago decided to play a trick on Othello. "If I can make Othello doubt his friends, maybe he will trust me more," Iago thought. He started by whispering a rumor to Othello, hoping to make him feel worried. "I saw Desdemona talking to Cassio. Maybe she likes him more than you," Iago said slyly. Othello didn't know if he should believe Iago, but the words planted a small seed of doubt in his heart.

At first, Othello didn't want to believe Iago. "Desdemona is my friend, and Cassio is loyal, " he thought. But the more he thought about Iago's words, the more worried he became. "What if Desdemona really does like Cassio more?" he wondered. Instead of asking Desdemona how she felt, Othello kept his worries to himself. His heart began to feel heavy with doubt and sadness.

Desdemona noticed that Othello was acting differently. He didn’t laugh with her or talk to her as he usually did. She tried to cheer him up, but he seemed distant and sad. “Did I do something wrong?” she wondered. Desdemona wanted to help her friend, but she didn’t understand why he was upset.

Iago wasn't finished with his trick. Seeing that Othello was already worried, he decided to make things even worse. "I've seen Desdemona spending more and more time with Cassio," He whispered to Othello. "Are you sure she's really your friend?" Othello's doubts grew, and he started to feel hurt and angry. But instead of talking to Desdemona, believed more of Iago's words.
