Once upon a time, when the world was still dark and empty, there were two powerful beings: Tiamat, the mighty dragon of the sea, and Apsu, the spirit of the freshwater. Together, they filled the world with magical creatures and spirits who swam, sparkled, and filled the waters with life.

But as time passed, the waters became wild, and Tiamat, the dragon, grew restless. She wanted to rule over everything with her mighty waves and fierce storms. Soon, her ocean became rough and wild, and the creatures were frightened. Tiamat became a mighty force no one could calm.

In the land of the sky, there lived a brave young hero named Marduk. Marduk was strong, wise, and carried with him magical winds that could calm even the fiercest storms. When he heard how Tiamat’s storms were frightening the creatures of the world, he knew he had to help.

Marduk asked his wise father, Ea, for advice. “The world is in danger,” Marduk said. “Tiamat’s waves and storms are growing stronger. I want to calm her and protect the creatures of our world.”
And so his father agreed and gave Marduk a special bow, some arrows, and his blessing. “With these gifts and your magical winds, you’ll be able to protect our world,” Ea said.

Marduk set off to find Tiamat in the deep waters of the sea. He traveled endlessly, guided by his powerful winds. When he reached Tiamat, he saw her mighty waves crashing against the shore, her roar filling the air like thunder.
“Tiamat!” called Marduk bravely. “I’ve come to calm your storms and bring peace to our world.”
But Tiamat only laughed, sending huge waves toward him. “You’re too small to stop me, Marduk,” she bellowed. “The sea is my kingdom, and no one can tame it!”
