This story book is included in the educational technologies course written by Zehra Çalışkan. Designed to introduce children to underwater animals and raise environmental awareness. It features dolphins, octopuses, jellyfish, seahorses, and sharks, helping children learn about their physical characteristics, habitats, and diets. At the same time, the story highlights the impact of plastic pollution on marine life, encouraging children to develop a sense of responsibility and care for the environment. Through an engaging adventure, it also fosters empathy, teamwork, and a commitment to protecting nature.

Once upon a time, a curious fish named Finn wanted to explore the underwater world and meet new friends. But Finn didn’t know that a big problem was threatening the ocean.
Finn was swimming near the surface when he met a playful dolphin named Daisy. “Hi! Who are you?” Finn asked.
“I’m Daisy the Dolphin. I love jumping and playing in the water. But today, I can’t play because there’s too much plastic in the sea, and it’s harming us,” Daisy said sadly.
“Plastic?” Finn asked. Daisy pointed at a floating plastic bag. “Sometimes, we think it’s food, but it makes us sick.”
Finn swam deeper and found an octopus named Olivia in a rocky cave. “Hi! What’s happening here?” Finn asked.
“This is my home, but look at it now—it’s full of trash,” Olivia said sadly. “I’m searching for crabs, but all I find is garbage.”
Finn saw a jelly-like creature floating gently in the water. “Hi Juno! How are things going here?”
“Not good,” said Juno the Jellyfish. “Plastic bags look like plankton to us, and when my friends eat them, they get sick. It’s dangerous for everyone.”
Finn spotted a seahorse named Sammy clinging to some seaweed. “Why are you hiding?” Finn asked.
“Because plastic strings are tangled in the seaweed. My tail gets stuck, and I can’t move,” Sammy explained.
Finn met a big, strong shark named Shelly. “Shelly, what’s hard for you?” “Finding food,” Shelly said. “The ocean is filled with plastic, and we sharks think it’s food. But it hurts us instead.”
Finn noticed all his underwater friends were struggling. “This is terrible. We need to do something,” Finn said. “Maybe if humans knew, they’d be more careful,” Daisy suggested.
Finn and his friends made a plan. “If we can’t clean the whole ocean, we can at least make our homes better,” Olivia said. “We need to work together!” Finn added.
