This story is dedicated to everyone who is scared of the idea of going to a new school.

"Yawn," says a sleepy, teary-eyed boy named Jacob. It's time to get ready for my first day at the new school," he says as he gets dressed in his new outfit. As Jacob prepares for the day, he dreads what lies ahead. "A brand new school full of people I don't know. No biggie." He says, sarcastically.

After getting ready for school with a stomach full of butterflies, Jacob starts to walk along the pathway in the direction of the place he will come to find out about something new about himself. But as he was walking he got approached by a young lady who seemed to be his age. She had a fearless air to her and she stopped in front of him and said "You're the new kid right, well my name is Mabel and I think we should be friends." Leaving Jacob lost for words.

My name is Mabel lets be friends.

Jacob and Mabel walked into the classroom together, one with full confidence as this was her school, the other not so much, as he could feel everyone's eyes on him, some with disregard and others with judging or downright curious gazes. As the class started filling up, the teacher walked in and waited for everyone to get settled and then cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. " Hello, everyone. My name is Mr. Heart, and I'm going to be your teacher for the year",  He said. " And I'm very happy to announce we have a new student in the school."

As the teacher continued talking Jacob felt his heart start to sink as he realized who the teacher was talking about and that the one thing he dreaded to happen was about to, "Now everyone can we give the new student Jacob a round of applause, come up here Jacob and introduce yourself." the teacher said. As those final words were uttered by the teacher, Jacob felt his heart start to race as his palms started to sweat and he got goosebumps all over his arms.  He even started to feel like everyone's eyes where on him as he started to walk to the  front of the class.

After Jacob reached the front of the class he believed he could feel the eyes of everyone around him almost penetrating his skin seeing him for all his faults, as he got to the front of the class and forced a smile upon his face he said "Hello ev-ev-everyone my name is J-J-Jacob Swanson,  my favorite food is Buffalo wings, I-I'm al-also from Lockport, New York."  as he continued to talk with a stutter he became more nervous and jittery and he began to feel like people where whispering harsh things about him. He began to see stars.

After Jacob introduced himself the teacher asked if anyone had any questions and instantly one singular hand went up. It was unsurprisingly Mabel the outgoing confidence in the shape of a girl. " Hey is he ok teacher he looks a little pale, and where is Lockport located," she said as she started to look at Jacob with concern lighting up her face. After she pointed out Jacobs's peculiar situation the whole class started to get concerned.
