It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, and Mia and Lucas were at the mall for a fun day of shopping. They had been saving their allowance for weeks, and now they finally had enough money to buy a few things they had been eyeing for a while.

"Let’s go to the store that has the coolest shirts!" Mia said, leading the way. Lucas nodded excitedly, holding a crumpled list of items he needed.

As they walked into the store, a friendly shopkeeper greeted them.

"Hello, kids! Welcome to my store," Mrs. Carter said with a warm smile. "Let me know if you need any help finding anything!"

Mia smiled back. "Thanks, Mrs. Carter! We’re just looking around for now."

Lucas looked around, wide-eyed. "There are so many choices! I don’t know where to start!"

"Let’s start with the shirts," Mia suggested. "I want to find something cool for summer."

They walked over to a table filled with colorful shirts. Mia picked up a bright blue one with a cool surfboard design.

"How much is this one?" she asked, holding it up.

Mrs. Carter came over and smiled. "That shirt is $12.99."

"That’s not bad," Mia said, putting the shirt back on the table. "I have enough for that, but I want to see what else is here."

As they walked around the store, Lucas spotted a red hoodie with a graphic of a mountain range. He picked it up and turned it over to check the price tag.

"Wow, this is $22.50!" he said, his eyes widening. "I didn’t know hoodies were that expensive."

"Yeah, hoodies are a little more pricey," Mia explained. "But it’s really nice! Do you think it’s worth it?"

Lucas thought for a moment. "I really like it, but I only have $20. I don’t think I can afford it."

"Maybe you could save up a little more and get it next time," Mia suggested.

Just then, a woman walked past them with a shopping cart. "Excuse me," Lucas said politely, "Can you tell me where the hats are?"

The woman smiled. "Oh, sure! The hats are on the shelf next to the shoes, near the back of the store."

"Thanks!" Lucas called after her.
