Once upon a time, there was a lonely little blue hat. We’ll call him Little Blue, but to be honest, he was so alone, there was no one to give him a nickname.
One day, as Little Blue sat alone on the branch of a tree, just like every other day, a small bird flying by decided to rest for a moment. The bird landed on the same branch and noticed Little Blue. After a few moments, however, the bird realized there was something strange about the little hat.
Curious, the bird started a conversation with Little Blue, and at the end, it asked,
"Why are you sitting on a tree instead of a head?"
And this question, "Why am I not anyone’s hat?" was a painful one that Little Blue often thought about.
The bird noticed Little Blue’s sadness and said,
"Don’t worry, Little Blue. Sometimes it takes time to find the right person. Maybe one day, someone will come who needs you".
After the bird gave its kind and friendly advice, it flew away, leaving Little Blue to think. The little hat felt a bit better, but the question still lingered in his mind: Why am I not anyone's hat?
Days passed, and Little Blue stayed on the tree, waiting and hoping. One afternoon, a fox wandered by and stopped beneath the tree where Little Blue sat. The fox looked up and noticed the little blue hat sitting alone.
When the fox saw Little Blue, it thought to itself, It’s a good idea to have a nice hat to keep my head warm in the winter.
So the fox began to speak to Little Blue. "Hello, little hat," said the fox. "You look like the perfect hat for me. I’ve been looking for something just like you. It’s getting colder, and I could really use a warm hat to keep my head cozy."
Little Blue was unsure. He didn’t think the fox’s head was the right fit for him. So, he said no.
The fox, surprised by this answer, looked at him sadly and said, "If you stay up here on this tree like this, you’ll always be alone and never find the right head for you."
Little Blue became nervous when he heard these words, and he decided it was finally time to do something. He chose to push aside his shyness and fear and go out into the world to find the perfect head for him to sit on.
He was tired of not being anyone’s hat.
So Little Blue's adventure began...
