Two children are the "outside" and try to hit with their ball the other children who are in between them. If the ball hits a child it leaves the game. But if the child catches the ball before it falls to the ground then the child wins an "apple", that is a "life" and continues in the game. When there is one last, then the "outside" have 10 balls to get him out. If they succeed, they win, otherwise the “middle” wins.

Statues (Agalmatakia Akounita)

This is a fun traditional Greek game!

One child becomes the leader & turns their back, saying, "Statues, still and silent!" The other children move slowly toward the leader, but when the leader suddenly turns around, they must freeze like statues. Anyone who moves is out of the game. The winner is the one who manages to stay completely still every time & will reach the leader & touch them.

The children are sitted in a circle except for the one who has a ring in his/her hands. He/she passes it through the childrens' hands while they sing  a song and keep their hands together. At some point he/she leaves the ring to someone without the other children noticing. Then the children have to find out who has the ring. Whoever guesses correctly gets the ring and the game starts over!

Where is the ring? Που 'ντο που 'ντο το δαχτυλίδι;

A child (the chief) has a ring in his/her hand. The other children are sitting one next to  other keeping their hands closed. Everybody sing "Where is the ring? Search, but you won't find it". The chief must leave secretly the ring in the hands of another child. Μια ομάδα παιδιών σχηματίζει έναν κύκλο κρατώντας τα χέρια. Ένα από τα παιδιά έρχεται στη      μέση του κύκλου με δεμένα μάτια για να χαιρετήσει τη Μανώλη.

Τα παιδιά γυρίζουν κυκλικά με τη γνωστή ιστορία: «Γύρω γύρω, ο Μανώλης στη μέση, τα χέρια και τα πόδια σε μια γραμμή και όλοι κάθονται και ο Μανώλης στο σκαμνί». Μόλις τελειώσει το τραγούδι. Ο Μανώλης θα πρέπει να βρει ένα παιδί, να αναγνωρίσει μόνο με το άγγιγμα.

“Blind Fly”

Number of players: At least 3 people, but the more, the more fun!

Materials: A handkerchief or cloth to blindfold the player who will be the "blind fly".

Preparation: Choose who will be the "blind fly". Blindfold him with the handkerchief so that he cannot see. The other players stand around him in a circle.

Rules of the game:

1. The player who is the "blind fly" spins 2-3 times so that he loses his sense of orientation.

2. The others move around him and gently touch him or talk to him to confuse him.

3. The "blind fly" tries to catch someone and identify him only by touch.

4. If he manages to guess correctly who he caught, he takes the place of the "blind fly" and the game continues.
