For as long as Jane could remember, she was always known as "the shy girl" by her peers and even by her teachers. It bothered her when she was younger, but she has gotten used to that title...unless that's what she tells herself.

"People always refer to me as the shy girl, but I'm more than that..."
There is so much more to her than just being labeled as a shy girl. However, how should anyone know the real her? She chooses to be reserved and to herself. It was no one's fault but hers. Her inner thoughts were interrupted by the ring of the first-morning bell. Music Class. Her heart dropped from sudden realization...
She was supposed to sing a song in front of the class today! Mrs. Penny, her music teacher, assigned them a "special" assignment last week, which was to prepare a song that inspires them or makes them feel happy. Jane had completely forgotten about this and even planned on giving her teacher some poor excuse not to do the assignment. Maybe if she slips out of class...

"Oh No!"
"Good morning, Jane! Please take a seat!" Mrs. Penny greets the shy girl. Jane quietly greets back and sighs in defeat. The one time she actually wants to be invisible backfires on her. Having no choice, Jane slowly approaches her spot in the very back. The issue wasn't that she had to sing...she loved to sing. It was her passion. However, the thought of singing in front of the class is what made her skin crawl out of fear.

"Good morning, Jane!"
One by one, she watched her peers perform their choice of song. The majority of them were in pairs or groups as they sang together. If only she wasn't a loner, she would share the spotlight, and all eyes wouldn't focus entirely on her.

The time had finally arrived, and it was Jane's turn. She silently prayed that the bell would ring just in time and she wouldn't have to endure this horrendous moment. However, luck wasn't on her side once Mrs. Penny called her name. "Last but not least, Jane!"

"Your turn, Jane!"
All eyes were now on Jane. Some gazed at her with confusion and wonder. They probably forgot that she was even in this class. Jane anxiously adjusted her glasses, a habit she has whenever she gets nervous. She slowly rose from her seat and made her way towards the front of the class.
