Where the sand burned underfoot and the shade was scarce beneath the swaying palms, there lived a forgotten pair of boots.

- "What will become of us? sighed the left boot

- Perhaps someone will find us and take us somewhere cooler, hoped the right boot" .

But no one dare to take those filthy boots...until a curious boy spotted them, cause he was the only one who wore a pair of simple sandals.

- They were forgotten on the hot sand perhaps by some traveler. I am very happy because my feet are no longer burning.

The little kid, named Nick,  very happy, tried to run to his home. But the shoes didn't fit him. They were too big for him. Finally he reached his home and met his mother. 

Mom, hi! Look at my new boots! They are perfect! Just, quite big for me .

He asked his mother to wash the shoes for him as they were so muddy and dirty. She did so. But the shoes were still too big for him. So, he wore them and put some tape on them so that they may fit him.

Mom can you please wash them? And then put some tape on them ? So that they would fit me.

After all,  his parents decided to leave their island and go to a big city to live because it was too hot in their birthplace. So, one day they picked up their clothes and a few things and got in a ship to move to another place. The boy was so sad to lose his friends but at least he would take his  shoes with him.
