One day his mother, having baked some cakes, she told her:

"Go see how your grandmother is, because they tell me that she has been sick; bring her a cake and this jar of butter. Little Red Riding Hood left immediately to see her grandmother who lived in another town.

When passing through a forest, Father wolf, who really wanted to eat it, but he didn't dare because some lumberjacks were nearby. He asked him where was he going. The poor girl, who didn't know it was dangerous to stop and talk to a wolf, told him:"I'm going to see my grandmother, and i'll bring her a cake and a jay of butter that my mother sends her."

"Does he live very far away?"The wolf told him.

!Oh, yes!" said Little Red Riding Hood, "Beyond the mill that can be seen far away, in the first little house of the town.

"Well," said the wolf, "I also want to go see her; I will go this way, and you go that way, and we'll see who arrives first."

The wolf left running at full speed along the path that was shorter and the girl left for the longer route.

Entertaining herself by picking hazelnuts, chasing butterflies, and making bouquets with the little flowers she found.

It didn’t take long for the wolf to reach the grandmother’s house, and he knocked on the door:

Knock, knock. “Who is it?”

“It’s your granddaughter, Little Red Riding Hood,” said the wolf, pretending to be her, “I’m bringing you a cake and a little jar of butter that my mother sent you.”

The grandmother, who was in bed because she wasn't feeling well, shouted:
"Lift the latch, and the bolt will fall." The wolf lifted the latch, and the door opened. He pounced on the good woman and devoured her in an instant, as it had been more than three days since he had eaten. Then he closed the door and went to lie down in the grandmother's bed, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood.
