Tyler was born on March 6, 1991, in Ladera Heights, California. As a kid, Tyler, The Creator loved music, drawing, and skateboarding. He made up fake albums, taught himself piano, and designed his own artwork.

Tyler started his career in the late 2000s as a member of the music collective Odd Future. He started singles in 2010, using ‘Tyler, the creator' as his stage name.
