"The Unwelcomed Author"

To my amazing Children,
I am sorry that you guys have had to feel the pain and embarrassment of bullying.
Sometimes those who "bully", don't understand how to treat others.
You see, life is not the same for everyone, and many people who have not been loved the right way, can understand how to love themselves, or anyone else.
Life is hard, and being patient with others who are hurt on the inside will help them to understand that there is always someone out there to help or listen.
"Do unto others as you would want done unto you.."
I love you guys, forever and live for you.
Love
Mom
xoxo

Once upon a time, a boy named Tim lived in a bustling town called Willow Creek.
Tim was known as the school bully, but there was so much more to him than met the eye.
Tim had a tough time at home. His parents were always busy and sometimes didn't have time for him. Daddy would fight a lot, and mommy would cry a lot.
Sometimes Daddy would hit Tim a lot too.
He felt lonely, making him a little grumpy and sad.
Tim didn't understand much of what life was meant to be like. To hide his feelings, he thought being tough would make him look strong.
At school, Tim would shove his classmates and say mean things. "Why do I do this, and why do they call me Bully?" he often wondered.
"Maybe it's because I want to be noticed. If I act big and scary, maybe people will pay attention to me!"
One day, during lunch, Tim noticed a girl named Lily playing alone. She looked sad, and for a moment, Tim felt a little twinge in his heart.
"What if she feels like I do?" he thought.
Instead of being mean, Tim picked up his tray and walked over to her.
"Hey, why are you here by yourself?" he asked.
To his surprise, Lily looked up, her eyes wide.
"I don't have anyone to sit with," she replied softly. Tim remembered how it felt to be alone and suddenly, he didn't want to be the bully anymore.
He wanted to be kind.
"Do you want to join me?" Tim asked, surprising even himself.
Lily's face lit up. "Really? I'd love that!"
They sat together, sharing stories and laughter.
As days went by, Tim found himself spending more time with Lily and other classmates.
He realized that being nice felt so much better than being mean.
He didn't need to be tough to be liked; he just needed to be himself.
One afternoon, Tim saw a younger kid being picked on by some other bullies. For a moment, Tim felt the urge to join in.
But then he thought about how lonely he felt and how nice it was to have friends.
