To all the kids with cancer in the world. I wrote this story to raise money for you.

Chapter 1: Meet the Mains

Once there was a school in Brisbane and in the school there was Suzie, Melon and Tamara. They were all great friends. They had a very kind teacher named Mrs Flower. 

Suzie was a girl with orange, bouncy, curly hair. Melon was a girl with black hair, with purple stripes through it. Tamara had straight blonde hair.

Mrs Flower loved everyone even the grumpy Principal named Miss Steel. Miss Steel was very grumpy and she had a watch dog named Iron.

The girls’ classroom had three desks, a red, yellow and black door, and an orange teacher’s desk. There was a shelf that had books, a globe, some math homework and a poster that said “Be Kind”. 

Tamara loved sport. Her favourite sports were tennis, netball, dodgeball, volleyball, cricket, table tennis and football.

Suzie loved discovering new things and loved the rules.

Melon was kind, caring and loved getting herself into mischief.

Chapter 2: Bing’s girlfriends

Buster was a little bit weird. He had blue hair, pink eyes, chubby cheeks, big fat legs and didn’t know much.

Buster’s best friend’s name was Bing! He ALWAYS had gooey, ooey sandwiches, soggy homework, a thin body, a pet lizard and a kind heart. And he was in love with Suzie.

Suzie thought he was in love with Melon. And Melon thought he was in love with Tamara. And Tamara thought he was in love with Mrs Flower. And Mrs Flower thought that he was in love with no one.

Chapter 3: Melon gets into mischief

One day Melon woke with an idea! She would sneak into the Principal’s office and steal her bag of dog treats because she wanted to have her watch dog for Suzie to give to her brother that was in the army. He was 26.

That day she told her friends.

Tamara thought it was a great idea! Suzie was not so sure. And Buster just laughed because he thought her idea was funny.

Melon sneaked into the Principal’s office that day. Tamara pretended she had hurt her leg to distract the Principal. Buster distracted Mrs Flower and pretended he had forgotten his ‘A,B,Cs’ and ‘1, 2, 3s’. 

Melon was about to sneak in when Bing arrived. He said “have you seen Suzie?”. Melon said “I was just looking for her”. Bing said “I found…” Melon interrupted and said “I know that Suzie is on the oval!” Bing said “I am going to find her, bye!”.

Chapter 4: Spill the beans!

Just then Buster came to Melon and said “give me that watch dog or I will tell the Principal!” Melon said “No way!” And then Buster walked away.

Meanwhile, Bing was talking to Suzie about his plan to tell the Principal about Melon’s idea. The Principal walked over and said” aren’t you two supposed to be in class?”. Then Bing said, “Melon is sneaking into your office to steal your watch dog!”.  

The Principal replied and said “thank you for telling me, you get an extra hour of lunchtime and playtime”. Then she stomped off to find Melon!

Suzie said to Bing “I feel a bit bad for Melon, she is my friend”. Bing said “ It is too late now I already told her”.

Chapter 5: Melon gets caught!

The Principal walked over and said to Melon in her most stern voice “what are you doing!”. Melon took one look at the Principal and ran away and hid in the shed at the back of the playground and locked the door!

Melon could hear the Principal’s footsteps coming closer and closer and closer but Melon forgot the Principal had the keys to the shed! The Principal opened the shed door but before she could grab Melon, Melon slipped out the door and climbed over the fence! She ran and ran and ran some more. 

Chapter 6: Tamara and Buster get detention!

Tamara and Buster were getting worried. They had already been caught by the Principal and were taken to her office. The Principal said “for that, Buster and Tamara will get lunchtime and playtime detention!”.

Tamara said “nooooooooooooooooo!”. Buster said “ohno!”. At lunchtime Tamara and Buster walked to detention with their lunchboxes and their water bottles. The Principal said “put your water bottles in the trolley and your lunchboxes in the tub”.

Tamara and Buster sat down at the desks. 

The Principal handed them a long worksheet of times tables, a long worksheet of spelling bee questions and another long worksheet of hand writing problems.

Because Buster was really, really fast at doing worksheets, he finished first. The Principal said to Buster “here is the next thing you can do in my detention – you can write ‘I will be good’ 100 times on the blackboard or you can sit down and write ‘I will be good’ 100 times on a piece of paper”. 

Buster said “it is hard to choose, I think I will write it on the blackboard, Miss”.

Meanwhile, Tamara has finished her worksheets and thought she was allowed to eat her lunch. The Principal said to Tamara “what are you doing!”. Tamara said “I am eating my lunch, Miss Principal”. The Principal said “put your lunchbox in the tub at once! If you are hungry you can tell me and I will not give you a hamburger I will just give you butter on bread”. Tamara and Buster said “Bye Miss Principal” and ran away from the Principal just the way that Melon did.
