There was once a girl named Sophia, she 

was a very quiet girl who kept to herself 

most of the time. She had a best friend 

named Brianna, people would say that 

Brianna and Sophia were polar opposites. 

Sophia was known as a wall flower while 

Brianna was known as an outspoken person.

When Sophia and Brianna went to ballet 

practice, the dance instructor informed 

them that they would be doing a dance for 

the schools play production. Sophia was 

thinking about auditioning for the main role 

but right away Brianna decided she wanted 

the main role. 

That night when Sophia went home, she told 

her mother how she felt. Sophia told her 

mother she was not going to audition for 

the part because she was scared about 

losing, Sophia also had an extreme case of 

stage fright and most importantly she did 

not want to compete against Brianna.

That night Sophia stayed up the whole time 

trying to decide whether or not she should 

audition for the part. 

Once Sophia fell asleep she started dreaming and 

in the dream she saw herself on stage auditioning 

for the part. She was so scared, she couldn't 

remember the dance routine at all! Then out of 

thin air her mother appears but as ballerina 

princess and tells her, "My dear Sophia, you have 

so much potential, you have the ability to shine. If 

you are scared about Brianna, you shouldn't be 

because a true friend will be happy for her friend 

if she accomplishes a goal she has worked so hard 

to achieve." 

The next morning, Sophia woke up with a 

smile on her face and got dressed to go 

audition for the role in the play. She was 

only concerned about how she was going to 

approach Brianna about auditioning.
