I picked the country Cuba because I thought that It was a beautiful country and that it would be amazing to do research on.

Family and community:
In Cuba it is normal to be loud while having conversations because they like to be expressive. People are usually late to places and it is understood because Cubans are laid back on schedules. It is very rude to take pictures of anyone without asking their permission as well as blowing your nose in public might upset some people. Music is the heart of Cuba's traditions. It is something that the people of Cuba do all the time with dances like salsa and rumba. Cuba has food that has a variety of flavors and vibrant tastes like Ropa Vieja and Tostones.

The recipe for the Ropa Vieja is over 500 years old and originally came from Sephardic Jews in Spain. The dish has had changes over time but the base of it has remained the same. The dish name Ropa Vieja ( Old clothes) comes from a story that a man shredded the clothes he had on his back because he had no money to feed his family then prayed over it and it turned into a tasty, rich meat stew.
