Primer juego/First game

La primera vez que jugué ajedrez, aprendí cómo se acomoda el tablero: la casilla de la esquina derecha siempre tiene que ser blanca. Luego puse las piezas: torres en las esquinas, caballos al lado, alfiles, y en el centro el rey y la reina.

Yo era las negras, así que esperé que el otro moviera primero. Moví mis peones y caballos para defenderme. La partida duró bastante, pero gané porque a mi rival se le acabó el tiempo. 

The fist time I played chess, I learned how to arrange the board: the square in the right corner always has to be white. Then I put the pieces: rooks in the corners, knights next to it, bishops, and in the center the king and queen.
I was Black, so I waited for the other one to move first. I moved my pawns and knights to defend myself. The game lasted a long time, but I won because my opponent ran out of time.

Segundo juego/Second game

En mi segunda partida de ajedrez, me tocaron las piezas blancas esta vez. Ya entendía mejor cómo moverme, así que jugué con más calma. Mi rival también jugaba bien, así que la partida fue muy pareja.

Al final, ningún rey podía ser atrapado y no quedaban piezas suficientes para ganar. Fue entonces cuando aprendí que eso se llama tablas. No gané, pero me gustó saber que también se puede empatar en el ajedrez.

In my second chess game, I got the white pieces. I already understood better how to move, so I played more calmly. My opponent also played well, so the game was very even.
In the end, no king could be caught and there were not enough pieces left to win. That's when I learned that that's called tables. I didn't win, but I liked knowing that you can also draw in chess.
