It was a normal day for everyone else on Main Street Glacier but today was the biggest day ever for one flightless penguin. Perry the Penguin woke with a start excited for a new day. For years and years Perry was ashamed of not being able to fly like his friend Kenny the Kelp Gull but today that would all change. Perry waddled downstairs to the smell of his moms delicious pancakes but today they would have to wait. Perry was on a mission.
Perry waddled the whole way to Kenny's house with a smile on his face, as today was the day he would fly. "Ready to fly?" yelled Kenny. "I was born ready!" Perry shouted back. They raced to the edge of the glacier ready and prepared for this spectacular feat.
"You got this!" Kenny exclaimed. Today was Perry's day and nothing could stop it. Perry ran and leaped as high as he could where he then flapped his fabulous flippers as fast as he could but unfortunately he fell on his face. Perry was discouraged but he wouldn't give up, he would be the first Penguin to fly.

"You can't give up Perry" his mom said. After a while Perry was ready. He didn't care what others said. He didn't care if he was a 'flightless' bird, he was going to fly. Perry ran outside and sprinted to Kenny's house when he saw it. A glimmering shining silver cannon....
