About Dr.Drain and His Minions

I met Dr.Drain a long time ago. Before he was evil.He and I went to the same school. He was one of the nerdy kids that always got bullied for doing chess instead of basketball. They used to call him “Drip” back then, not because he was cool, but because he always had this weird obsession with plumbing, water pressure, and sewer systems.

Before the Storm
Douglas Drain was the kind of kid who’d raise his hand not to answer a question, but to correct the teacher, and he was usually right. He wore glasses too big for his face, always carried a wrench in his backpack for “emergencies,” and practically lived in the science lab. Most people ignored him. Some laughed. A few were cruel.I wasn’t like them,at least I tried not to be. Even then, I felt like I didn’t quite belong. Being an Amazon in disguise, blending in with “normal” high schoolers? It wasn’t easy. But Douglas... he didn’t even try to blend in. He was brilliant. Awkward. Lonely. And I think, deep down, he just wanted someone to take him seriously.
That night, he broke back into the lab. I was there. I stayed late to return a library book—some Greek mythology text. I saw the lightning hit the roof. Saw the lab light up like a supernova. By the time I ran inside, the whole place was chaos—sparks flying, machines whirring out of control, glass shattered across the floor.
When The Storm Broke
And Douglass... he was standing in the middle of it all, completely still. Eyes glowing. Veins lit up like wires. The storm hadn’t killed him—it changed him.He looked at me, and in that moment, I saw it: something had snapped. He wasn’t scared. He wasn’t in pain. He was angry, and then he was gone.
Our First Battle
I remember the first time I saw him again, not as Doug, the quiet kid from science class, but as Dr. Drain, the man flooding the heart of the city from below. The smell hit me first. Wet stone, rust, and something sour, like old water that had been trapped too long. I stepped into the storm tunnels, my boots echoing with each step, water rising around my ankles. It was dark, but I could feel the pressure in the air. Something was wrong. And then I saw him.He stood in the center of the chamber like some
twisted king of the underworld, surrounded by pipes that pulsed and hissed like veins. His face was hidden behind a metal mask, but I knew that posture. That anger. That mind. It was Doug, but not."You never listened," he said, his voice deep and distorted. "You could’ve stopped them. You could’ve stopped me.""I tried," I said, gripping my lasso tighter. "But you weren’t ready to hear it."And then he raised his hands, and the water roared to life like a beast unleashed. We fought in the flood,my shield against his water cannons, his fury against my restraint. But underneath it all, I couldn’t stop thinking: how did we end up here? Two kids from the same hallway, now locked in a battle to stop a city from drowning.
Before The Big Fight
When I found him beneath the city, he wasn’t just flooding tunnels anymore,he was siphoning power from the old generators, stealing every drop of oil, coal, and gas he could find. I watched as entire pipelines cracked open like veins under pressure, drained dry by his machines. “This world feeds on poison,” he said through that cold metal mask, “so I’m taking it
