Once upon a time in a great kingdom called "The Daha Kingdom", lived a king named Kitamarta with his two beautiful daughters.
The elder was named Chandra Kirana, who was loved by everyone in and around the kingdom. They claimed that she wasn't only charming, yet also so kind-hearted and mindful.

Meanwhile, the younger daughter was named Dewi Galuh. Unlike her sister, she was known to be so disrespectful, selfish, and rude. Not many people liked her, nor did Dewi Galuh herself liked anybody.

One day, Chandra Kirana was called by her father. She listened and arrived in the room quickly, like a great daughter would.
"Chandra Kirana my dear daughter," the great king started. "You are now officially in the age to get married. Would you like me to engage you to my man of choice?" he asked.
"Of course father, anything for my kingdom." Chandra Kirana answered. "Who is your man of choice for me, if i may know?" she asked in curiosity.
"It is the great Prince of Kahuripan, Inu Kertapatih." the king answers.

As they were talking, Dewi Galuh decided to eavesdrop on what her sister and father were talking about. Hearing the news, Dewi Galuh was jealous, furious even. The man her sister will be marrying, isn't only dreamed by Chandra Kirana, but Dewi Galuh herself too. Knowing this, she couldn't just let it slide, she has to do something about it. And that is when she decided to go to the evil witch nearby.

"Excuse me Ms. Witch, may I come in?" Dewi Galuh asked with quite the tone.
"Of course my dear, come in, come in." the witch welcomed her gladly. "What will the great princess need?"
"Could you help curse my sister? She's now enganged to my man of dreams."
"My, my, of course dear. I will always make your wishes come true." the witch accepted her request.

Chandra Kirana was playing by the beach, humming so happily that she will marry the charming man of her dreams. Suddenly, the witch came to ruin the peace with her presence.
"Ahh! Who are you, and what do you want?!" Chandra Kirana screamed in horror, fearing what will happen to her.
"Who I am is not important my dear, what's important here is my task to curse you into a golden snail!" the witch pointed at her, turning her into a golden snail in an instant.

"Help, help! Somebody, please help me!" Chandra Kirana yelled, yet no one heard her calls.
"Hahahahaha, no one will hear your foolish calls. You won't ever be a human until somebody finds and saves you, and your curse will only fully break once you find your true love, which will never happen!" the witch laughed, and disappeared into thin air, while Chandra Kirana gets washed down the shore.

Back in the kingdom, Dewi Galuh's wish had come true. She had lied to her own father, saying that Chandra Kirana didn't want to get married to Inu Kertapatih, and ran away. She told him that the prince should marry her instead, as a replacement.
Though sad, the king unfortunately believed her and started to plan out Dewi Galuh's marriage with the prince.

The next day, it seems that an old lady has found Chandra Kirana, though she doesn't realize that the golden snail she has caught was the elder princess of Daha.
"My, my, what a pretty snail I've caught. I must take care of you and keep you safe." She acclaimed, talking to herself.

Now that Chandra Kirana has been found, she can be a human again, though she can still change into a snail again too. As a thanks to the old lady, Chandra Kirana cooks for her while she's away. So that when she comes home, she is greeted by a great warm meal to eat.

The lady comes home in surprise, confused by how there is food on her table already when she hasn't cooked at all. Even by the looks, the food seemed fresh. But the greatest option to do is eat and appreciate them, as she silently thanks the person who made all of this for her.
