Chapter 1: Sale of the Shares
I had worked for many years in a big security company owned by Mr. Ray. I was the general manager, and he trusted me the most. We worked side by side for years. Whenever there was a crisis, we faced it together.
One day, Mr. Ray called me to his office. He looked serious. He took two envelopes from his pocket.
"Black," he said. "Take these two envelopes. Open the first one when I die. Open the second one when you leave the company."
I didn’t ask any questions. I took the envelopes and put them in my jacket. It was a big responsibility. I knew he sold 90% of the company shares, but I didn’t know who bought them. Nobody knew. It was his secret.
After that day, things changed in the company. Mr. Ray was not the same anymore…
Chapter 2: Mr. Ray’s Death and the First Letter
That morning, I knew something was wrong when the phone rang. I went to Mr. Ray’s house immediately. There were police at the door and detectives inside. Mr. Ray was found dead in his bedroom. His wrist was cut.
Detective Max called me for questioning because I was the last person who talked to Mr. Ray.
I told him about the envelopes. He wanted to see the first one. I took it from my jacket and opened it. I read the letter out loud:
“My dear friend,
If you are reading this, I am not alive anymore.
Yesterday, I put a large amount of money into your bank account. That was my personal money. It is yours now.
About my 10% company shares: they now belong to the new owners. They own 100% of the company.
Goodbye, my friend.”
My hands were shaking. The message was clear, but I didn’t understand why he gave me his money or why he sold the company secretly. I had many questions in my mind.
Chapter 3: The New Owner – Mr. Steel
Some time later, the new owner of the company appeared: Mr. Steel. I had never seen this man before. He was charismatic, strong, and very strict. He quickly took control. Everyone was afraid of him.
He was now the boss. But I felt something dark about his past.
Chapter 4: The Cleaning
When Mr. Steel came, the company started to change. He checked all the employee lists. Many old workers were fired. People felt scared and unhappy.
Then it was my turn. I was asked to leave.
While I was packing my office, I took the second envelope. It was time to open it.
Chapter 5: What Was in the Envelope
I went to Detective Max right away. We opened the second envelope. Inside was a letter and a small photo. It was Mr. Ray’s handwriting:
“I didn’t think it would happen so fast.
Mr. Steel is the second leader of a big criminal group. I know they are planning something big. But I don’t know what it is.
Now, you may ask, ‘Why did Ray sell the company?’
My friend, I have a secret that I never told anyone. But somehow, the gang found out.
I have a daughter. She knows you. Her name is Sophie. Her photo is in this envelope.
But now, she is in the hands of that gang.
I have one last request:
Find my daughter and protect her.
Goodbye, my friend.”
I looked at the photo. A young girl, with eyes like Ray’s. I couldn’t breathe. This was no longer just a task. It was a duty.
Chapter 6: Sophie’s Location
After reading the letter, we took action. Max and his team started watching Mr. Steel secretly. After days of following, we found Sophie’s location.
She was in a building outside the city. From the outside, it looked normal, but it was like a castle inside. Security cameras were everywhere.
We didn’t know how many people were inside. But we knew one thing: if something went wrong, Sophie would be killed immediately.
As I read the report, I held the papers tightly. We had to use our brains. There was no other way.
Chapter 7: Secret Watching and Interrogation
The building was watched by civilian teams for days. No one made contact to stay safe.
Every day, one man entered at the same time. He looked suspicious. We followed him and arrested him quietly at his home.
At first, he said nothing. But later, he spoke about tattoos. Gang members had the same tattoo on their right wrist. It was their mark. He also said that everyone inside the building was wearing a mask
He didn’t say more. But it was enough. We could now recognize the gang members.
