1.    What is the reference legislation in environmental matters?

Italian environmental legislation is made up of laws and decrees that regulate environmental protection and the management of natural resources: as mentioned, the well-known Legislative Decree 152 of 2006 (d lgs 152 06) represents a point of reference for environmental protection.

2.    The Vesuvius National Park

In Campania we have the Vesuvius National Park.  It is a treasure chest of biodiversity: the sea, the mountains, the volcano, the variety of places, the splendid naturalistic glimpses, the many species of plants, animals, minerals, the many towns each with its own history and tradition, make the Vesuvius area one of the most fascinating places to visit.

3.   Municipal Regulation to protect the environment

In our city, Casalnuovo of Naples, we have Separate waste collection consists of dividing household waste according to the type of waste by carrying out an initial screening which then allows for the correct recycling of recyclable materials (paper, glass, plastic, steel and organic waste).

Green Life and Recycling in Çanakkale

Çanakkale is famous for its history, nature, and the Dardanelles Strait. There are green parks, forests, and clean beaches. The city supports recycling. There are bins for paper, plastic, glass, and metal. Schools have projects about recycling. 

Key Projects and Initiatives

Zero Waste Program at ÇOMÜ:  They started a zero waste program. They recycle, reuse materials, and teach students about waste and nature.

Environmental Organizations

Troya Environmental Association: This group works to protect nature and joins projects in Europe.

Çanakkale Koza Youth Association: A youth group that helps young people join nature and recycling projects.

Events and Activities

Recycling in Art Workshop: At ÇOMÜ, students made art using recycled materials. This workshop showed how we can use waste in creative ways.
