I dedicate this book to Mrs. Tracey who helped along the way through this whole year.

Once upon a time there was a kid named Hudson. Hudson lived in New York City. He has short blond hair. He is tall and has brown eyes. His voice is monotone. Hudson is also athletic and good at sports. He likes to play with RC vehicles and is talented with them. His favorite food is a cheeseburger. His mom is overprotective and his dad wants him to be more independent. Hudson is in 6th grade and has to take a train from Grand Central Station for two hours every day to get to school and then two more hours back home.

One day Hudson woke up really early because he had a performance at school. When Hudson got on the train he fell asleep because he had a party last night and had to wake up early, so he was really tired. Minutes went by. Hours went by. Finally he woke up and realized the train had whisked him down to the Florida Keys! Hudson was scared. He needed to get back to his house. He got off the train and found himself in the jungle! He was looking for money to take a plane home but he got lost in the jungle. Hudson was lost for many hours but finally he found something!

He found a treasure chest in a clearing. The chest was filled with cash. Lots and lots of cash. Hudson didn't want to be greedy so he only took what was needed to drive to the airport, fly to New York City, and drive to his house. He also found a compass in the chest. Hudson used the compass to find his way out of the jungle and back into the city.

Once he finds his way back into the city he calls for a cab that drives him to the airport. He gets through the airport quickly because he doesn't have any bags except for his backpack. When he gets to his gate the flight is full. Hudson immediately grew worried. “How am I supposed to fly back home when the plane is full?” He then came up with an idea. “I know! I can use some of the money I found and bribe someone to give up their plane ticket!” Hudson exclaimed. Sure enough this young couple bought it right away. “Thank you,” the couple said. “I can't believe everything is going right!” Hudson said excitedly. Then everything promptly went wrong.

He gets on the plane and finds his seat. They get up in the air fairly quickly. Hudson was sitting towards the back of the plane so he could see the hijacker walking towards the cockpit. The hijacker looked like a wall of muscle on legs. He walked up to the doors of the cockpit and drove his shoulder right through it. The pilots looked angry at the hijacker for ripping the door off of its hinges. But it soon changed to worry. The hijacker threw both pilots out of the cockpit. Before one pilot got thrown out of the cockpit he managed to disable some of the controls. Now the plane was going to crash.
