We immerse you in this book so you can learn much more about the culture of the Barbacoa family and their indigenous language Totoro. I hope you will learn a lot of things that will fascinate you.

Chapter one 

"Introduction sentences of the culture"

1. We the Barbacoa people originated in the Patía River region of Colombia.

2. Our traditions have been about agriculture, many ways of hunting and fishing, listening to music and dance.

3. We have beliefs especially about our harmonious relationship with nature and communication with earthly and spiritual authorities.

4. Our ancestral language is called Nam Trik, which is commonly spoken in southwestern Colombia and northern Ecuador.

5. Our ancestral language, Nam Trik, was displaced by Spaniards. We are studying it in new institutions.

6. We speak Nasa Yuwe essentially for our cultural identification.

7. Our belief system is based primarily on the cosmic, earthly, and intraterrestrial.

8. We have avoided violence and exploitation of our resources.

9. We have learned new customs with the passage of time.

10. We have always loved our culture.
