Our eTwinning project, "Exploring the Digital World: Safely and Smartly," aims to empower students to become responsible digital citizens. Through collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, our students have embarked on a journey of discovery, learning valuable lessons about online safety, privacy, and digital interactions.
This book is a collective effort, reflecting the dedication and enthusiasm of students and teachers from different countries. Together, we've learned how to navigate the digital landscape wisely, recognize potential risks, and embrace the opportunities it offers.

Mira was an 11-year-old girl full of curiosity. That morning, she sat down at her computer with great excitement. Today, she was going to explore a brand-new educational platform for the first time.
"One click and I'm flying into the world of knowledge!" she whispered to herself.

As soon as she logged in, a strange message popped up:
"Hello Mira! I have a special mission just for you. If you’re brave enough, click 'START'."
Mira paused. Was this message real? Who sent it? And why did it say her name?
Suddenly, a colorful, fluffy little digital bird appeared in the corner of the screen—Digi.

"Mira, be careful! Messages like this can be dangerous. But if you want, we can discover this mission together. To find the first clue, we need to choose another school..."
Mira looked at the screen.
Digi showed her three digital schools.
“They all look cool,” Mira said.
But she chose the Coding Tower.

The tower was tall and made of glass.
Neon lights blinked between the floors.
“It looks magical!” Mira whispered.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
DIGITAL SIGNAL DETECTED
A red icon appeared on the screen.

“The first key code is hidden in the past.
Are you ready for a time journey?”
A time journey?” Mira asked.
Digi smiled, “Yes!
Sometimes, old data sends signals.
This one may be from the 1990s!”
A digital compass appeared in her hand.
It pointed to an old digital school.
“Mission: Find the memories.
Solve the first code!” said Digi.
Mira took a deep breath.
“I’m ready,” she said.

"I'll use the password reset link!" she said.The door opened!

”What do you do?”

As Mira and Digi crossed the digital bridge, a new message popped up on the screen.
“You have one unread email.” The subject line was: “Urgent: Your Account is in Danger!”
“Don’t open it!” said Digi.
But Mira hesitated. “What if it’s real?”
She checked the sender. It looked strange: support@acc-verify99.click
The compass glowed red.

Digi pointed at two glowing paths:
A) Click the link and enter personal information
B) Ignore the email and report it as phishing
Mira nodded. “This doesn’t feel right. I choose B!”
She reported the email. Instantly, the compass turned blue again, and a new path appeared:
“Smart choice. Keep going.”

Just as the compass lit the new path, Mira stepped forward. Suddenly, a pop-up blocked her screen:
“Confirm your identity to proceed.”
A virtual assistant appeared, asking:
“Please upload your digital ID to continue.”
Mira paused.
“Wait… Why would I need to upload an ID just to continue?”
Digi’s feathers ruffled.
“Careful! This could be identity theft.”

Two buttons blinked:
A) Upload your ID and continue
B) Exit the site and report suspicious activity
Mira frowned.
“This feels wrong. I choose B!”
She closed the pop-up and reported the request. The screen shimmered and revealed a golden firewall badge.
“Well done, Mira,” said Digi.
“You protected your digital identity!”

As Mira followed the glowing path, a shiny button appeared with the words:
“Claim Your Reward Now!”
Her eyes lit up.
“A reward? Maybe it’s for making safe choices!”
Digi flapped his wings nervously.
“Wait! That doesn’t look safe…”
But before he could stop her, Mira clicked.
BEEP! BEEP!

Suddenly, the screen glitched. A loud siren echoed and a red warning flashed:
“Malware detected!”
Mira gasped. “Oh no… I didn’t mean to!”
Digi shouted,
“Quick! Disconnect and activate the digital shield!”
Two urgent choices appeared:
A) Ignore the alert and keep browsing
B) Disconnect and activate the firewall system

Mira didn't hesitate this time.
“I choose B!”
She activated the firewall and ran a full scan. The bugs vanished one by one.
“Phew… that was close,” she sighed.
Digi smiled,
“Even when mistakes happen, quick action can fix it!”

The compass turned green again, and soft music played.
Mira smiled.
“I feel better now. I learned a lot today.”
Digi nodded.
“You fixed the damage, but your journey isn’t over yet.”
Suddenly, a glowing portal opened ahead. A sign above it read:
