February 5th,1922

It wasn’t long ago. They broke in. Stole  it.  The  only way to communicate with… these Life-Forms.  It wasn’t secure. It was supposed to be the strongest glass out there, or so Papa had thought. Papa didin’t realize until the ship had taken off.

Part One

Five Minutes after break-in..

I wasn’t even there when it happened. They say it was 

Old Johnny. The famous bank robber. They say he took it to another level this time.

I was sick. It was a sickness from the Aliens. It’s like frost bite, but ten times worse. Even at a hundred degrees it feels like 50. Yeah. That’s right. You feel cold ALL the time.

It’s not too bad yet. It get’s bad when you are older than thirty. I’m only sixteen. They say Old Johnny got sick, too.

The C-device has to be washed off every time someone else touches it because the Alien sickness is spreading like a wildfire. Who knows? Maybe someone right outside your HOUSE has it.

One month after Robbery..

A month after the Robbery, about 30 percent of workers 

at the facility have the sickness. So, lots of people have to skip work and stay home. The Base is asking workers  for money. They need to get tools to repair the pods. They’re broken and cracked from not being used. Also,

Old Johnny broke the only good pod, so we are on a mission to collect Little Rocks that came off of the moon to sell them for good money to repair the pods.

We don’t have Aliens in the pods yet, But we know there are Aliens out there somewhere. Now, I’m not writing to anyone specific and this isn’t my diary, I just found a file at the back of one of the closets. I took it because it’s cool that the cover has the words “Alien Files” on it.

Well, I guess I AM writing to someone. Myself. But,

I just said that I’m not. Ugh I’m losing my MIND on this ship. It has been awhile. Hey wait! We are approaching planet earth! FINALLY the mission is OVER! 

I’m leaving this on the ship. So if you find it.. you know who I am. Rachel Heart.

Hey If anyone finds this, we need help. You probably found this on a run-down ship. Yes we crashed. I don’t know how much longer I can last.

There is green figures everywhere. I don’t know where the girl who wrote this is- my daughter. -Kaleb Heart

Wow! I just found this book on the ground! I’m gonna keep it as my diary now! I can’t wait to show mom!!!

But before I do… I need to think…

what do those words mean?? I know Rachel is a person but what does that page next to this one mean? What does ANY of those pages mean?

PART TWO. Several decades later…

I guess I’ll just rip out those pages before I show mom this. But I bet she’ll wonder where I found this. So I’ll just say right now.  I found this on the curb while we were taking a walk. Aaaand, I hid it behind me for the rest of our walk.

I think I’m gonna make a BOOK in here for mom! I’m gonna call it… “The super duper cool book!” Just turn the page.

Did you like that hyper realistic face on the last page? I learned to draw realistic faces at a camp I went to last year in second grade. I’m in third grade now.

And that’s like- my FAVORITE

holiday! Because I always dress

up as a Ninja every year! It’s fun seeing

all those cool costumes! I normally 

see dragons, or zombies, or unicorns, 

and even aliens.

Two days before Halloween..

They normally look like this- honestly, it’s kinda weird your shoes are showing on a costume.
