The French had been split up into three groups called estates.
The First Estate consisted of the clergy, the church, and the ones who ran the church.
The Second Estate was made up of royalty including kings and queens.
Finally, the Third Estate was made up of the middle class and the poor.

The French Estates meet up as the Third Estate begs for a new constitution.
However, the First and Second Estates declined, which made the Third Estate feel as if it was unfair.

The Third Estate decides that the First and Second Estates have too much power.
Since the Third Estate had the majority, they decided to vote.
However it was not a vote by order, but by head.

The Third Estate met up and decided that there be a new constitution for France.
And to make sure that they were noticed by the other estates, they made their requests with a louder tone.
Eventually, they decided to call themselves the National Assembly.

Oh but the First and Second Estates did not like this.
So they got together and decided to lock the meeting hall to prevent the Third Estate from pushing a new constitution.
The Estates desired nothing but absolute power.

However, this had no effect on the Third Estate.
The Third Estate gathered at a tennis court and made The Tennis Court Oath.
The then promised to establish a new French constitution.

The people took the revolution into their own hands and decided to raid the Bastille.
They stole their weapons and began to start the revolution.

The French stormed Versailles forcing the king and queen out of the palace.
As they left, the French tore the palace apart.

The French then decided on a new flag that represented their ideas of equality, liberty, and fraternity.
But unfortunately, they didn't know how to run the country, and as bread prices soared, so did the rioting.

The Great Fear began and people grew restless of when another riot would be.
Some even started more riots throughout the streets.

To resolve this issue, the French went to King Louis and demanded that he sign the constitution that limited his power.
Well he did and now the National Assembly represented the French people.

There were now 83 more groups that the National Assembly had made.
But when the National Assembly wanted control over the church and clergy, the First Estate was angered.

The emirges wanted to flee France and move to Prussia, as they saw France useless without the king.
Prussia asked the king that they'd be free but the French declined.
The National Assembly then declared war against Prussia, as Austria joined the war against France.

Antoinette, fearing revolutionists, decided that her and the king flee to Austria.
But they were caught at the border by the French and were captured by the National Assembly.
